To complete the challenge “Pick Your Poison” in Hitman 3, players need to assassinate Carl Ingram with lethal poison during the first story mission in Dubai. Though there are several sources of non-lethal rat poison in the area, there is only one way for players to get ahold of lethal poison during this level. All in all, this challenge is very easy to complete and doesn’t require a ton of skill, but it is a multi-step process that might be difficult to figure out at first. Players will need to get their hands on the lethal poison, work their way up the building using several disguises, and ultimately poison Carl Ingram’s food.
Completing challenges in Hitman 3 is a great way to spice up the gameplay a bit, and some of them can be very difficult. As one of the earlier ones in the game, “Pick Your Poison” isn’t so much technically demanding, but it does require a thorough knowledge of the level and where to get certain items or disguises.
To start off, players will want to head to the quest marker where another assassin like Agent 47 is talking with security. After he finishes, he’ll sit down at a bench and wait. Players should turn on the nearby music panel, hide in the bushes, and take him out as he comes to investigate. Looting his body will give players his disguise as well as the lethal poison. From here, use the disguise to get past security and start up towards the third floor of the compound.
At this point, another costume change is in order, so players should find the security room on this floor. There’s a lone guard standing outside of this room that can be taken out easily for his disguise and a keycard. Now continue climbing until reaching the fourth floor and search the area for a storage room. Take out the staff member here, being sure to hide the body in the nearby freezer, and then activate the ice maker. This should prompt the chef to come and fix it, at which point players can take him out as well and get the Chef disguise.
With the chef disguise equipped, there’s nothing stopping the player from heading into the kitchen, preparing Carl Ingram’s plate of food, and then interacting with it again to apply the lethal poison. Ring the bell and he will come and take his plate, only to die shortly after starting to eat. This should complete the “Pick Your Poison” challenge in Hitman 3.
