Destruction AllStars is almost here after months of waiting for the PlayStation 5 exclusive title. For those who may have missed the announcement, Sony delayed Destruction AllStars out of its original launch window, but promised that it would be free for PS Plus members upon release.
Now, Sony and Lucid Games are making good on that promise, as Destruction AllStars is one of three free PS Plus games for February 2021. Now, fans also know that Destruction AllStars takes up 28.32 GB total, so they can prepare their PS5 SSDs accordingly if they don’t have the required space.
The confirmation comes by way of a Reddit user who lives in New Zealand, where February 2 has already rolled around. Reddit user Caenir confirmed the file size is 28.32 GB, while 17 GB is required to simply jump in and start playing. Thankfully, it seems Destruction AllStars won’t be taking up too much file space given the PS5 has over 600 GB of dedicated storage. Though, if users have Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War downloaded among other titles, they might need to free up space for Destruction AllStars.
Considering Destruction AllStars is only a day out from release, a bit more information about the game has slowly trickled out. Recently, the full trophy list for Destruction AllStars was revealed, and it seems to have a healthy mix of easy and difficult trophies for players to get the most out of the multiplayer title. For those who may not know what Destruction AllStars is, it’s essentially a vehicle combat game where players battle with heroes who possess unique cars and abilities.
Of course, there’s a lot more to Destruction AllStars than just that simple synopsis. Once a player’s vehicle is destroyed, players control their chosen hero on foot and try to survive for as long as possible to come out on top. While simple at face value, Destruction AllStars already looks like it provides room for strategy and planning, as well as a fun party atmosphere to relax and have fun with friends. Provided players have other friends that own PS Plus and PS5 consoles, Destruction AllStars may very well have an opportunity to blow up in popularity similar to Fall Guys last August.
Destruction AllStars‘ launch game modes have already been confirmed, but Lucid Games has talked about plans to support the game into the future. Provided the studio keeps up the pace and is able to keep the community surrounding Destruction AllStars alive with consistent updates, it could prove to be a very successful multiplayers title. Only time will tell if Destruction AllStars is a success or not, but from the pre-release footage and screenshots that players have been show so far the game looks promising. Players should look forward to downloading Destruction AllStars for free on PS5 tomorrow through PS Plus.
Destruction AllStars is set to release on February 2 for PS5.
