Which Version Of Link From Zelda Are You Based On Your Zodiac Type?

One of the most famous video game franchises, The Legend of Zelda has offered many players a variety of adventures. Fans have saved Hyrule from the clutches of evil for 35 years now, and with another ambitious title on the way, the quest shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.

The hero of these games, Link, has reincarnated several times to prevent the Triforce from falling into the wrong hands. Surprisingly, though, each incarnation has their own personality, though their courage shines through all the same. Still, fans may find a kinship with one version of Link over another, and they don’t have to look any further than their star chart to figure out why.

12 Aries: Minish Cap

With Aries being the first zodiac sign, many would assume that the Link from the first game, or even the one from Skyward Sword, would be represented here. However, the Link from Minish Cap fits the bill especially well. While courage and ambition are traits shared among all Links, this Link in particular also portrays Aries’ more rash, impulsive side. By charging after Vaati as soon as Zelda is in danger, he shows immense bravery, but also tactlessness. Aries is also good with physical challenges, which ties into this Link’s upbringing as a blacksmith under his grandfather.

11 Taurus: Twilight Princess

The lifestyle of the typical Taurus is one of routine and pragmatism, befitting of this iteration’s humble ranch hand background. The Link in Twilight Princess is devoted to his hometown and takes an uncompromising approach to the obstacles that charge at him (oftentimes quite literally). Even as a wolf, Link finds a way to take a steady approach forward both in and out of combat. Taurus’s love of material wealth also plays a big role in this game; while wearing the Magic Armor, the damage Link takes only hurts his wallet instead.

10 Gemini: Four Swords

Naturally, the “Twins” sign has Four Swords Link as its representative. This Link’s main draw is his ability to split into four bodies to solve problems that would otherwise be impossible alone. This ties in very well with Gemini’s desire for companionship.

Those born under Gemini are also adaptable and curious, both helpful traits for someone on a puzzle-filled quest across Hyrule. Representing one of the more social Sun signs, it makes sense that this Link uses some of the most teamwork across the Zelda franchise.

9 Cancer: Link To The Past-Link’s Awakening

The Link present in A Link To The Past, Oracle of Seasons/Ages, and Link’s Awakening is one of the most well-traveled incarnations. Throughout these games, he develops deep bonds with multiple characters, including Zelda, Din, Nayru, and Marin. These deep bonds are spot-on to represent Cancer’s powerful emotional connections and loyalty. This Link’s journey also begins when his home life is disrupted by Agahnim killing his uncle, and a happy home is something that Cancers usually cherish. These games are the first to introduce swimming via the Flippers item, as well; Cancers, along with the other Water signs, love to be in the water, so this checks out.

8 Leo: Skyward Sword

With them being natural-born leaders, it makes sense for the first incarnation of Link to be a Leo. Skyward Sword sees Link take on a variety of challenges with creativity, determination, and a smidge of humor. However, this Link is also a bit on the lazier side, as he is prone to sleeping in and having his companion Fi explain every step of his journey. He also has a difficult time of accepting Zelda to be the mortal incarnation of the goddess Hylia, which compliments Leo’s difficulty with harsh reality.

7 Virgo: Four Swords Adventures

While very similar to the Four Swords game before it, this game actually takes place later in the Zelda timeline. And with a new game comes a new Link.

In this era, the legend of Vaati’s imprisonment by the Four Sword is well-known. Still, Link draws it in hopes of rescuing Zelda and the six Shrine Maidens. Keeping with the Virgo mentality, this Link makes a plan and follows through. He is also prone to worry, especially in the presence of his alter-ego Dark Link.

6 Libra: Ocarina Of Time/Majora’s Mask

Though many born under Libra avoid confrontation, an adventurer like Link has no choice but to fight to maintain order. In both Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, Link maintains a level of diplomacy as he goes about helping the people of Hyrule and Termina, respectively. His quest for justice is self-evident in both titles, though the sympathetic nature of Libra shines more brightly in Majora’s Mask as he confronts Skull Kid. Libras also enjoy partnership as part of their desire for balance, which explains his fondness for his fairy companion Navi.

5 Scorpio: Breath Of The Wild

One of the defining traits of a Scorpio is their resourcefulness, something Breath of the Wild’s Link has in spades. Traveling across the decimated lands of a post-Calamity Hyrule, Link gathers whatever he can find in his quest to stop the Malice. Scorpios are emotional by nature, sometimes aggressively so, but maintain a stoic disposition. Similarly, this version of Link is described by Zelda as a competent fighter, but one of few words and expressions. Still, he is steadfast in his duty to protect Zelda and all of Hyrule.

4 Sagittarius: Link Between Worlds

Sagittarius is best described as a traveler, with their wanderlust taking them to all sorts of places. Likewise, the Link in A Link Between Worlds is well-traveled–so much so, in fact, that he can go between dimensions! Not only can he warp between Hyrule and Lorule, but he can also become two-dimensional and travel along flat surfaces.

Sagittarius also focuses on humor, and A Link Between Worlds has its fair share of funny moments. While some Sagittarius representatives tend to promise more than they can deliver, this Link goes above and beyond for Hyrule, as well as Zelda fans in general.

3 Capricorn: Legend Of Zelda/Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link

The original games were bare-bones in terms of character development, but there is still a sense of duty and discipline emanating from this Link. A staunch traditionalist, Link makes the most of his limited arsenal to navigate dungeons and find the Triforce of Wisdom. He also takes a no-nonsense approach to reviving the slumbering princess in Zelda II. Throughout both adventures, Link sticks to his responsibilities and holds nothing back against those opposing him. All of this ties in very well with the personality of a Capricorn.

2 Aquarius: Spirit Tracks

Sometimes, the Aquarius sign shows an eccentric side, and Spirit Tracks is definitely one of the more eccentric Zelda titles. Still, Link shows considerable intelligence and skill in this game as he operates a train and traverses dangerous dungeons. Aquarius also has a strong independent streak, which shows through Link’s desire to become a full-fledged engineer. Nevertheless, he is more than willing to help others and fight for what he believes in, which are other traits borrowed from this Sun sign.

1 Pisces: Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass

Two factors tie in with Wind Waker Link being a Pisces: a sense of trust and a love for music. After his sister’s kidnapping, Link places his trust in complete strangers, including Tetra and the King of Red Lions. As for music, players don’t need to look any further than Link’s Wind Waker baton to see the connection. Being a Water sign, Pisces also love to swim. It’s helpful, then, that both Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass have Link travel vast distances across the Great Sea to stop the forces of evil.
