Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How to Get to Vinland | Game Rant

When players first start Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, their exploration will be limited to the region of Norway, but it won’t take long to get to England and unveil an entirely new map full of things to explore and collect. While this may seem like it’s already enough to constitute a full game, players can actually visit several more areas, one of which being Vinland. After unlocking this area, Eivor can travel to the coast of North America, giving players yet another expansive map to scour for wealth, mysteries, and artifacts. There are a few steps players will need to complete before they can travel to Vinland, however.

Eivor’s initial reason for traveling to Vinland is to hunt down Gorm Kjotvesson, the son of Kjotve that the player banishes from Norway at the start of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In order to get to Vinland, players will first need to find all five clues relating to his location. This can be done by hunting down and killing the five members of the Order of the Ancients that work directly under him.

The first thing players need to do is build the Hidden Ones’ Bureau in Ravensthorpe. This is a very early upgrade for the town and is good to build regardless because it will give Eivor access to new abilities as she hunts down members of the order. Next, speak with Randvi and start the Lunden alliance quests. Throughout the course of this mission, players will come across three members of the Order of the Ancients, the Arrow in the “Firing the Arrow” quest, the Leech in the “Bleeding the Leech” quest, and the Compass in the “Smashing the Compass” quest. All three of these kills will earn Eivor a clue to the Keel’s location.

Next, players need to hunt down the Scabbard and the Baldric, two relatively easy to find members of the Order of the Ancients. Both of these members are fully unveiled after the player builds the Hidden Ones’ Bureau and can then be tracked on the map. To find the Scabbard, also known as Leofgifu, players can head to the swamp north of Grantebridgescire. The Baldric, named Hunta, son of Hunta, is even easier to find, as he is located in the city of Ledecestrescire and can be assassinated without a fight.

After building the Hidden Ones’ Bureau and killing these five enemies, head back to Hytham and Randvi to start the “In a Strange Land” quest, and they will discuss Kjotvesson’s location. At this point, players can select Vinland from the Alliance map, and after pledging to it can travel there with the help of Nessa who is found on Ravensthorpe’s dock.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
