Tianqiu Treasure Trail is a new world quest featured in Genshin Impact‘s 1.3 update, and it can be initiated by speaking with Lan in Liyue after reaching Adventure Rank 31. As the name of the quest suggests, Tianqiu Treasure Trail centers around finding treasure, and that can be done by following a treasure map. Some players may become stuck as they attempt to complete this new Genshin Impact world quest, though, and this guide is here to help.
Before detailing exactly how to complete Tianqiu Treasure Trail, it is is important to note that some players are reportedly encountering a bug with the quest. This bug can occur at the stage where a fan is instructed to follow the treasure map to dig up three treasure chests, and it is caused by another player joining for co-op in Genshin Impact. More specifically, treasure chests that are dug up with someone else in the world will not be counted toward Tianqiu Treasure Trail, preventing fans from properly progressing.
As such, players that are working on this world quest should make sure that they do not dig up any treasure chests if someone else joins their world. Unfortunately, this warning will no assist those fans that are already stuck on Tianqiu Treasure Trail, and there is no known workaround for the bug at the time of writing. These players may thus need to wait for developer miHoYo to address the issue, and hopefully that will occur sooner rather than later.
With that established, completing Tianqiu Treasure Trail begins by traveling to the waypoint provided by Lan and slaying the monsters that are found there. Doing this will give players access to a Treasure Map that marks a spot on the northside of Dunyu Ruins, and traveling to this location is indeed the next step. Upon arrival, fans will find a couple of books and scrolls sitting atop some ruins, and they should Investigate in order to read a Strange Note.
This action will cause three new waypoints to appear on the map, and players should wander around in these marked areas until they are prompted to Dig. They should then press the associated input to reveal an Exquisite Chest, and looting the object will result in advancement of Tianqiu Treasure Trail. After doing this at all three of the waypoints, fans will be instructed to report back to Lan, and they will receive the Parametric Transformer as a reward once they have spoken with this character in Genshin Impact.
