Forza Horizon 4 is coming to Steam in March

The best modern open-world racing game will soon be available on Steam.

On today’s Forza Monthly livestream, Playground announced that Forza Horizon 4 will finally be making its way to Steam on March 9.

Forza Horizon 4, which continues to receive regular updates to this day, somehow never made it onto Valve’s platform, even when several other Microsoft-published games were made available there, in many cases day-and-date with Xbox.

The Steam version, just like all the other Xbox exclusives, supports cross-play with Windows and Xbox. You’ll need an Xbox Live account to play it, as you would with Gears 5 etc. It doesn’t look like you’ll be able to carry over your saves between platforms, however, (we’ve asked).

Both of the game’s expansion packs: Fortune Island, and LEGO Speed Champions will be available for purchase on Steam alongside the main game. You’ll also find various other add-ons you can purchase.

This makes Horizon 4 the first Forza game to ever be released on Steam, and it likely won’t be the last. As the Steam release will be the most updated, new players will have wealth of post-launch content – like the recently added Super7 stunt racing mode – to look forward to, alongside the core game’s many activities.

You can check out the game on Steam here.
