Shroud Uncovers Valorant Wallhack Glitch Showing Enemy Locations

A recent glitch in the free-to-play hero shooter Valorant is starting to get widespread attention. Twitch streamer Shroud reveals a game breaking bug currently making the rounds in Valorant.

As a well known personality in the streaming community, Shroud’s audience is growing fast. Originally a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player, he left that scene for Twitch. Despite dabbling with a variety of first person shooters, the streamer has recently been playing Valorant. Now it looks like his plays are going to be even better thanks to a glitchy oversight by Riot Games.

In a recent video, Shroud exposes the bug which allows for a certain kind of wallhack. Typically, this means one player can see another through a opaque structure, resulting in an unfair advantage. However, in Valorant’s case the problem arises from Shroud being able to see enemies on the mini-map. Throughout the stream, he is able to view all the movements of an opposing Cypher player. From Cypher’s end, the audience is able to hear how Shroud is predicting every decision his enemy makes.

There can be character abilities which allow for mini map detection, but not to this degree. Being able to see all enemies on the map permanently is clearly an unintended glitch. To add insult to injury, Shroud remarks on how the bug occurs all the time. According to the streamer, the issue has been going on since the newest 2.02 patch. As many can imagine, a problem like this can significantly undermine any real competition in Valorant.

Wallhacks are some of the worst kind of bugs to have in a first-person shooter. These types of games rely on fast reflexes and pin-point precision to triumph over opponents. Knowing the exact location of an enemy gives players the opportunity to get into an advantageous position for an ambush. With Shroud revealing the glitch on air, Riot Games should not be able to ignore it any longer. Valorant is no stranger to glitches, so hopefully a fix will come soon for the game.

A troublesome aspect of the situation is how Shroud mentions a high appearance rate. Regardless of popularity, this means the glitch could be effecting all kinds of players. From casual to hardcore games, this game-breaking issue is likely appearing. While wallhacks occur in other shooters, it is unfortunate that Valorant is effected. As a relatively new shooter, Riot Games should make sure the experience is consistent. No word on a fix as of now, but it should not be long before the wallhack is gone.

Valorant is available on PC.
