Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Details Digital Deluxe Edition Contents

Insomniac Games just revealed a ton of new information regarding the upcoming Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Fans now know the game’s release date, its pre-order bonuses, and even the details surrounding its three editions. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart‘s release date happens on June 11, while the pre-order bonus includes the Carbonox armor from Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (2003), an early-unlock of the Pixelizer weapon, and the retro-blaster from Ratchet & Clank (2016).

As for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart‘s editions, it has three in total: standard, deluxe, and launch. Each one comes with its own perks, with the standard edition having the lowest price tag, totaling $69.99, and the deluxe edition including five additional bonuses along with the full game. Meanwhile, the launch edition has the same price as the standard edition and comes with the mentioned pre-order bonuses. However, it’s only available physically, so those with a digital PlayStation 5 won’t have access to it.

The Digital Deluxe Edition’s five bonuses include five armor sets, a photo mode sticker pack, 20 Raritanium, the digital soundtrack, and the digital artbook. The digital artbook and soundtrack are self-explanatory, but Raritanium is an in-game upgrade material. The stickers are self-explanatory, too, but they do confirm that Rift Apart will be the first Ratchet and Clank game to include a photo mode. In regards to the armor sets, it’s unclear — at the moment — as to what exactly they are. Insomniac is likely to release more details about them in the future.

Now that Insomniac Games has given fans a release date along with the game’s purchase information, its next big reveal for Rift Apart should be the name of the female Lombax character. The developer claimed as much in the PlayStation blog post containing all of the mentioned information. In the post, Insomniac recognizes that despite putting the Lombax on the game’s cover art, they’ve yet to give her a name. Apparently, they’ll rectify that soon and leave fans feeling “rosy.”

While it doesn’t release for another couple of months, it’s nice to finally know the launch date and information for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, seeing as the game is one of the PS5’s most anticipated titles. Horizon: Forbidden West‘s release date, and all the accompanying launch information associated with that, should be the next big reveal to happen. Exactly when still remains a mystery, but developer Guerrilla Games claims it shifted focus from the Zero Dawn PC port to Forbidden West, so the wait shouldn’t be much longer.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart releases on June 11 for PS5.
