Destiny 2: Memory of Sai Mota Quest Guide | Game Rant

Though Destiny 2: Beyond Light has been out for a bit, players may still be exploring the previous expansions. Before the Beyond Light update, Guardians were exploring the dark corners of the Moon in Shadowkeep. One mission there is the Memory of Sai Mota quest, which leads to some nice rewards. The steps for this assignment in Destiny 2 can be tricky, however.

The first thing to do for starting this mission is beating the expansion’s campaign missions. Shadowkeep does not have that many missions and players will likely finish it quickly. After completing the campaign, head back to Eris Morn. The NPC for the Moon Destination, she is waiting nearby the main landing zone for the area. Speak to her and pick up Lunar Spelunker bounty from the list.

For this bounty the objectives involve clearing out Lost Sectors, though no need for Master or Legend difficulty. The initial one is the K1 Communication sector which is near the Anchor of Light zone. Make sure to grab the chest at the end of the sector to actually complete the challenge. K1 Crew Quarters is next, and is directly north of the landing zone between Anchor of Light and Archer’s Line. Finally, head over to K1 Logistics which is in the north west corner of Archer’s Line.

Once these are done, Guardians get the Firewall Data Fragment item drop. Now it is time to locate the last of the Lost Sectors, K1 Revelation. View the full Shadowkeep Moon map; this sector is located in Sorrow’s Harbor. This time, follow the path until reaching the Boss room area of the Lost Sector. Here Guardians will see two exits. Go through the one on the right to reach the Data room. Once reaching the door, open it by inputting the Firewall Data Fragments. Enter the room and interact with the main console to receive Sai Mota’s Broken Necklace.

Players will now need to complete the necklace by killing 20 Nightmare enemies on the Moon. The catch is that Guardians will need to kill these targets using arc abilities. Explore Sorrow’s Harbor to hunt down these Destiny 2 Nightmares and use the arc subclass to finish them off. With this done, just fly back to the landing zone to meet up with Eris Morn. However, players must jump through the portal that is near where Eris used to be standing. Find her inside and pass off the necklace to complete the Memory of Sai Mota quest. A chest will appear that drops the Symphony of Death quest and A Fine Memorial weapon.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
