New Call of Duty: Warzone Update Fixes Some of the Game’s Biggest Issues

A new update is now live in Call of Duty: Warzone, and it attempts to make some big gameplay fixes. There are a bevy of issues that the Call of Duty: Warzone community has to deal with, whether that be glitches, cheaters, or other problems. Thankfully the newest patch that Raven Software and the rest of the team behind the battle royale has released should help alleviate some of this.

As popular as the battle royale is, the game can be very buggy. For example, an invisible player glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone is one that is ruining matches at the moment, and this is something that doesn’t appear to have been addressed with the newest patch. That said, the update that went live today does tackle quite a few issues.

One of the biggest things that players will immediately notice is that Call of Duty: Warzone’s hit marker registration issue should be taken care of in this new update. There was also a problem with the UI on the Loadout Menu that was addressed in this patch. Additionally, the names of the Valentine’s weekend playlist have been updated.

The update also works towards fixing an issue with weapon XP not being awarded as intended in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer. Previously an update for Call of Duty: Warzone attempted to fix challenge progress and made it worse, so hopefully this weapon XP problem is properly fixed.

It is certainly a good thing to see updates address in-game glitches and problems, but there also seems to be a never-ending supply of bugs in this battle royale. The last update brought upon a new glitch that affects one of Warzone‘s Easter eggsThe aforementioned invisible player glitch is still a problem in the game, and the infamous stim bug is one that seems to come back month after month.

The other big problem in the battle royale is the sheer amount of players who take advantage of hacks and cheats. While there was another wave of players who were banned recently, the game itself does not have a true anti-cheat system in place. Instead, Activision and the team behind the game works on individually banning players who are found to be suspicious. Because of this, many players get away with cheating behavior for a long time before they are caught in the act. The comment section of each new update/patch is usually filled with Call of Duty fans who are simply asking for a true anti-cheat software to be implemented in the game more than anything.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
