Genshin Impact: Wish Upon a Lantern Web Event Guide | Game Rant

For those currently enjoying Genshin Impact, there is a new web event live to earn rewards. In the Wish Upon A Lantern event, players will be releasing lanterns throughout the land of Liyue in exchange for prizes. While joining the festivities in Genshin Impact is simple enough, actually completing the necessary steps can be tricky.

Even though Wish Upon A Lantern occurs outside of the main game, fans will want to pursue it for the end reward. When the event finishes, one billion Primogems will be available for the community of players that released lanterns. In addition, those completing the event challenges will also be able to earn the main currency, Mora, as well as additional EXP items. For the small amount of time necessary to complete the quests, players should hop on for the Genshin Impact Primogems.

The event already started on February 19, and will last for one week until February 25. After that, the rewards go out between February 26 and March 4 for those contributing to Wish Upon A Lantern. Keep in mind, players need to be Adventure Rank 10 to even participate. This should not be too difficult, but use some methods to increase Adventure Rank fast if still under the requirement. Once leveling up the account to the right level, just head over to a desktop or mobile device to access the miHoYo website.

After logging in or linking accounts between devices, look for the Wish Upon A Lantern event page to start. If there are any issues loading the page, try switching to another browser that functions better with the website. There are five different types of lanterns that can be released during the event, and players will need to unleash all of them. Fortunately, the first of these is available as soon as login is complete. Click on Release Lantern to get this first freebie out of the way, then look for the View Quests category.

Completing these various quests will provide more lanterns for release. The Daily Sharing quest requires going to the Genshin Impact Twitter page and posting the link to finish. Another lantern can be acquired by viewing the Highlights category in the bottom right of the page. By logging into the website each day, more lanterns will be available for release. As a free-to-play event, fans should expect insane gacha features while playing. There will be multiple instances of repeat lanterns, but keep at it daily to finish the contribution. At the end, there will be a nice Primogem reward awaiting the player’s account.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
