Dr Disrespect Reveals Why He Had to Give Away His Dog Puppy Assassin

Adopting an animal is a serious undertaking, and sometimes pet parents encounter situations they had not expected. YouTube streamer Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm, who only recently announced that he had adopted a chocolate Labrador he named the “Puppy Assassin,” finds himself in just such a situation. The streamer revealed on a recent broadcast why he had to return his puppy back to its original owner.

Since his move to YouTube, Dr Disrespect has collaborated with a number of big names in the streaming and entertainment world. The Doc seems refreshed on the new platform, opening up in more candid ways while also avoiding some of the controversy that dragged him down on Twitch. Dr Disrespect’s ban from Twitch remains a mystery, and it is likely the details of the ban will never come out, but having re-established himself on YouTube, the Doc appears to be at peace with Twitch’s decision.

On a recent stream, Dr Disrespect revealed that Puppy Assassin had to be returned to its original owner. The Doc assures fans that Puppy Assassin is a good boy, and the reason behind the difficult decision being that Beahm’s young daughter was experiencing anxiety around the animal. After a traumatic incident his daughter experienced involving a pitbull, she wanted a puppy to make an attempt to get over her fear of dogs. After spending time with Puppy Assassin it seems that Beahm’s daughter was not quite ready for a dog, not feeling confident around the chocolate Lab. The YouTube streamer explains that the dog was returned to the original owner, who was more than happy to take the dog back in. The explanation can be found at 1:32:58 in the video below

Historians agree that dogs were the first domesticated animal, which is why they are often considered man’s best friend, and why they appear in popular media in that faithful role. The number of dog-inspired Pokemon could make up more than a full team, and whenever gamers can pet a dog in game, it makes for a fun, heartwarming little interaction. In-game, dogs are almost always great, but in the real world, there is more nuance and sometimes lingering issues, like Beahm’s daughter is experiencing, can force pet families to give up their good boy for the sake of the human members of the family.

It’s unfortunate that Dr Disrespect had to give up Puppy Assassin, but it is good to hear that the dog is being returned to a loving owner who will take good care of him. Now the Doc can get back to his bald cap Hitman 3 antics, and hyping up members of the Champions Club (his fans) with his over-the-top persona.
