After months of Verdansk remaining the same, Call of Duty: Warzone players will finally see a new point of interest added in Season 2. The new Call of Duty: Warzone location is a cargo ship, and players believe they know where it will dock after completing its trip to the shore.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s new cargo tanker point of interest is called Vodianoy, and players can see it approaching the shore via the Season 2 trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Boasting “unknown cargo” and described as “a dark wave” that is approaching the fictional Russian country, it will be interesting to see what the boat holds within. While it is unclear if players will be able to explore the boat’s interior before it reaches land, fans do have an idea of where it may be landing.
According to Call of Duty: Warzone player MrTheRevertz, a large dock outside the city is a prime candidate for the boat’s landing spot. Pointing out the position via an image on the CODWarzone subreddit, the fan showcases the small dock. Intriguingly, a larger platform has seemingly been added in front, as a Call of Duty: Warzone player named SkylineGTRR34Freak believes that the “larger surface is new.” With fellow fan Captain_of asking if the small pier really looks like it does in the image now, it seems like Raven Software has sneakily added this potential landing spot to the game.
While Call of Duty: Warzone fans are unsure of what the boat will bring to Verdansk, one popular theory is that the undead will be found inside. According to Redditor DubsForDaddy739, if players head to port, a transmission will randomly appear on their screen — much like what happened prior to the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The flash of text supposedly shows Russian letters that spell the word “outbreak,” and with the ship already appearing outside of Rebirth island as a teaser, fans believe something big is coming.
With Call of Duty: Warzone Zombies already rumored, the theory is certainly plausible. If that was not enough, though, Redditor lafleur-42 adds onto the theory, claiming that the supposed Zombies outbreak will last three weeks and lead to Verdansk being nuked. With rumors of a nuke event that destroys Verdansk appearing several times over the past few months, the idea that this nuke comes as a last-ditch effort to contain an outbreak of reanimated corpses is certainly interesting.
Regardless of whether this all happens, players at least have an idea of where Call of Duty: Warzone’s ship could be landing. With the ship arriving in just a few days, players will not have to wait too much longer to finally get their answers.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
