Spider-Man 3 Title Officially Revealed | Game Rant

The guessing is over. After a playful tease from members of the Marvel cast, Marvel’s “Spider-Man 3” officially has a title. Marvel’s third spiderman installment will be titled “Spider-Man: No Way Home, continuing the “home” subtitle trend as seen in the previous Marvel Spiderman films. Accompanying this announcement is the release date of Christmas Day, 2021.

The news comes from a small video clip posted on the official Marvel Twitter page. The 31-second clip begins with a close-up of the door leading to director Jon Watts’ office. Tom Holland, who stars as Peter Parker and Spiderman, walks out, accompanied by co-stars Jacob Batalon and Zendaya. Tom, using his natural English voice, discusses frustrations with the co-stars, as he regrets the announcement of using another fake subtitle for the new movie. Zandaya and Jacob voice their disapproval, but then raise their frustrations against Tom, holding him responsible for spiling the title to the last Spider-Man movie. As the three walk down the hallway and out of the building, the camera pans to a whiteboard. At the center of the whiteboard, Spider-Man: No Way Home is revealed to be the official title, surrounded by humorous attempts at other subtitles for the third film. The clip ends with the announcement that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be premiering only in movie theaters on Christmas Day, 2021.

The announcement comes from an increase in chatter about the movie, following a humorous display of postings on social media revealing the subtitles to the new movie. As Spiderman: No Way Home has been sharply followed since last year, the cast revealed several subtitles for the movie, including Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker, Spider-Man: Phone Home, and Spider-Man: Home-lander. The official announcement gives answers to what the movie will finally be called, but also speculation as to where Peter will be headed, following the events of Avengers: Endgame and the universe-changing event, known as The Blip.

Marvel fans will have plenty to speculate over the next ten months, as the events of Wandavision, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Loki will likely have some kind of impact related to the events to unfold in Spiderman: No Way Home. One unexpected occurrence with the announcement is the release date, as Spider-Man: No Way Home will debut before Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, which was set for a 2021 release but has been pushed back to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was expected that Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness would debut before Spider-Man: No Way Home to set up the speculated occurrences of multiple universes and realities. Despite the release windows, it is still possible this will be the case.  The two movies, coupled with the ongoing events of Wandavision will unmistakably have connections to each other, and events that could very well shake the entire foundation of the MCU.

Spider-Man: No Way Home premieres in movie theaters Christmas 2021.
