Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep expansion added a handful of new quests and content on the moon. One of the quests every guardian should try to complete is the Essence of Greed questline. Players that complete the quest will be awarded the Fine Memorial Machine Gun, which is a useful PVE weapon.
To get the quest, gamers need to participate in activities on the moon. The most common activities are the Nightmare Hunts on Luna. Each of the essence quests will drop in the same manner while completing missions. Eventually, the Essence objective will drop, and players can begin completing the challenges. This article will cover each step in the mission and where to find the Ethereal Charms.
The first objective in the Essence of Greed quest is to complete patrols, events, and lost sectors across the moon. Players can choose which option they prefer, but any of the three will be relatively easy to complete. Once gamers have completed the requisite number of events, they will need to get 25 machine gun kills. Guardians can get the kills by roaming around the moon or by participating in a hunt.
After getting all 25 kills, guardians will need to locate the Temple of Crota. Gamers can teleport to the Sanctuary and head toward the anchor of light. Players need to continue to follow the path which will lead them right into the temple. Once in the temple, gamers will be given a small indicator displaying the location of the Ethereal Charms. There will be a small pathway that leads down into the lower levels of the Temple.
Once in the circular room behind the stairs, gamers can find the Ethereal Charms near the back of the room by the door. There is no need to kill any of the adds, but players can choose to do so. The Charms will be sitting on what looks like a pile of broken pillars. Finally, players can finish the quest at the Lectern of Enchantment to receive the Fine Memorial LMG. The legendary machine gun has balanced statistics across the board. With almost all weapon stats in the 40s, players can take down a lot of enemies in PVE. The LMG can be used in PVP, but its slow fire rate will make the gun’s damage per second slightly lower than the meta weapons in the game.
