Destiny 2: How to Complete Intruder Alert Seasonal Challenge

Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen is packed with things to do, including new seasonal challenges that arrive with each weekly reset. These challenges can involve all manner of goals, like killing a certain number of enemies, completing specific activities, or collecting resources. The challenges reward players with Bright Dust, experience, and War Table reputation when they are completed.

One of the Week 4 season challenges is called Intruder Alert and sets the task of ensuring that Ghost is not interrupted during a Battlegrounds event. This needs to be done twice to complete the challenge, but many players are confused by what it requires them to do, and where they can go to finish it. The good news is that this Destiny 2 challenge is quite easy to achieve.

To complete the challenge, players will need to make their way to Nessus and take part in the Battlegrounds: Oracle activity. This can be found by checking the Nessus map in the Director or by playing through the Battlegrounds playlist in the Vanguard menu and getting lucky. At the start of the activity, players will need to set up their Ghost to scan a Vex pillar. Enemy Cabal will begin to spawn, including Disruptor Psions that will try to make their way to the Ghost to interrupt the scanning process. These Disruptor Psions will be marked by waypoints when they appear, so players who stay alert will spot them easily.

To keep the Disruptor Psions at bay, it is a good tactic to save heavy ammo until they appear, then quickly cut them down with Power Weapons. Swords like the Falling Guillotine and The Lament do an excellent job of slicing through the Disruptor Psions, stopping them in their tracks before they can reach the Ghost and interrupt the scan.

Players looking to finish up this challenge as quickly as possible should start the event directly from the Nessus map. This will have a lower Power requirement than the Vanguard playlist, and it will be much easier to deal with enemies and the Disruptor Psions. It can also be a good idea to bring Stasis subclasses, as this will give players the ability to slow and freeze the Disruptor Psions, giving them even more time to take them out.

Players who are confident in their ability to take out the Disruptor Psions can play through the Vanguard playlist, as it makes sense to kill two birds with one stone, finishing the challenge and grinding some new Legendary gear at the same time. This has become even more valuable now that Bungie has decided to remove sunsetting from Destiny 2, which is good news for all Guardians.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
