Curse of the Dead Gods: Best Blessings | Game Rant

After a long phase of early access, Curse of the Dead Gods has finally released a fully realized version of the indie game for fans to enjoy. Many roguelike game genre fans will come to appreciate and easily grow accustomed to the playstyle developed by Passtech Games.

Much like Hades, Curse of the Dead Gods is a top-down action-adventure indie game set in a world with mythical gods, this time centering around a more Aztec-themed original mythology. Players will fight through waves of enemies to collect new powers to fulfill their dream of becoming a god.

Through the adventure, there are blessings that gamers will collect that can help them on their journey. Blessings can be collected by players who gather blood emblems and crystal skulls from temple progression.  These all have vastly different effects that can make or break a run, so for new Curse of the Dead Gods fans looking for tips on how to start, here is a brief list of all the best blessings:

Furious Skin is a very reliable blessing that is one of the first few options that fans can choose from. It offers an extra 50% damage boost for six seconds after enemies hit players.

The favor of Si’chal is another good choice out of the five first options from the beginning of the game. The blessing offers an extra 1,000 gold and +5 perception at the start of the run –perfect for gamers who like to quickly grind for upgrades without the need for blood offerings.

This blessing is bestowed onto the players in the Underworld by Yaatz, the Eagle Goddess. It bestows increased movement speed for five seconds after a successful, perfect dodge.

At the start of exploration, this blessing gives players an extra five constitution. An additional point of the constitution stat will be given to gamers who walk into a new room with less than 50% of their maximum health.

This blessing makes it so that mandatory champions and boss fights drop five items when defeated instead of two. This is really helpful for the later stages of the game when players have to take on two or three of these per run. Also, if gamers don’t want the extra items, they can use them as offerings to gods for attribute boosts or corruption reduction.

Grace of the Tempest adds a plus one to dexterity every time a player clears a room without taking damage. If gamers are skilled enough, this is an excellent way to boost DPS quickly.

Curse of the Dead Gods is available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.
