Halo-Branded Pringles Are Being Sold at Walmart | Game Rant

Halo Infinite may have been delayed from late 2020 to late 2021, but there are some things that can’t be delayed like a video game can be. Marketing partnerships are put into place months, if not years in advance. As such, there are already Halo Infinite Monster Energy drinks with 2x experience codes, as well as a unique weapon skin from Snapchat. Now it seems like another cross-promotional partnership for Halo Infinite has gone live, with Halo-branded Pringles available exclusively at Walmart.

The limited-time-only Pringles can will offer up a special Moa Burger flavor. Moas, for those familiar, are a type of ostrich-like bird found on the fictional planet of Reach. In other words, Pringles made a flavor based on the meat of these fake flightless birds. Halo fans will have to try it for themselves to find out if Moas taste like hamburgers or some other salty Earth flavor that hopefully isn’t too disconcerting. Suffice to say, a lot of random store shoppers are going to be very confused about this Moa Burger flavor.

These Moa Burger-flavored Pringles cans are available exclusively through Walmart and will only be available for a limited time. In fact, they’re already available on store shelves and can be purchased now. Details regarding how long they’ll be available or in what quantity aren’t certain. As such, once they’re sold out they may never be restocked. Sometimes these types of cross-promotional things last for months and sometimes they disappear quickly.

To be fair, this cross-promotional Halo snack isn’t technically a Halo Infinite advertisement. It’s specifically labeled as a generic Halo cross-promotional campaign. The only labeling on the canister itself, beyond the Moa Burger flavor, is the logo for Halo and a picture of Master Chief. However, it is the Halo Infinite updated look of Master Chief.

It’s possible that this Pringles advertising campaign was originally intended to be a Halo Infinite partnership. The delay of Halo Infinite could have led to the deal dropping the Infinite subtitle, since the game won’t be out for months. There also isn’t any other Halo news coinciding with the advertising, so it’s a bit of an oddity.

While it may not be advertising any specific product, that just goes to show how important the Halo brand is to Microsft even with nothing related launching. It helps keep Halo within the public conversation, even if it’s just in a small way. That way when Halo Infinite or a Halo TV show has news coming out, the gaming audience and beyond are more receptive to the news. For most individuals, however, it’s just a fun collectible Halo Pringles can with a weird flavor.

Halo Infinite is in development for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
