Over a decade since its debut, The Walking Dead might have lost a lot of its mainstream popularity but it keeps making use of rather nonsensical logic to tell its story. The series has always taken liberties with viewers suspending their disbelief, which has led to some outlandish things.
That’s not always the case, as some stuff comes across as rather ridiculous simply because the series is set in the zombie apocalypse, something that in itself is a bizarre scenario. What’s great about all this is that the memes pointing out the nonsensical elements are always a riot to check out.
9 Daryl Never Stays Clean
It’s about time for a change in style for Daryl, or at least a shower to make himself clean for once. Many have noticed how grimier he’s getting, with this meme insinuating that Carol will have to deal with him personally so Daryl gets a clue.
As the implication goes, Carol will be forced to pull a gun on her old friend to force him to get a shower. Daryl still won’t be in an agreeable mood, as he’s shown crying about the idea of finally getting a shower.
8 It’s Time For A Haircut Already
No matter how many critically acclaimed zombie games one might play, there’s no character like Daryl. The character has somehow survived over a decade in the zombie apocalypse with hair that shouldn’t even allow him to see anything.
It’s pretty clear with the context provided by this meme that Daryl would have a difficult time lasting in the zombie apocalypse if he didn’t have plot armor as his hair only allows him to see a quarter of what’s actually in front of him.
7 Only Two Things Rick Cares About
Negan has such an ability to cripple a person that he was included in the list of Tekken fighters in the seventh game. According to this meme, he has an even better way of taking down Rick, which involves taking the latter’s most prized possession.
That happens to be his “stuff and thangs,” two aspects that Rick just can’t live without. The joke is over Rick’s tendency to keep using these two words to describe basically everything he does, meaning Negan stealing them would leave him without a reason to live.
6 Seriously, Rick?
It’s a good thing that Rick isn’t a character in a post-apocalyptic game because this guy wouldn’t exactly thrive. After all, his logic is so out there that it escapes all understanding. This meme points out how he was kind of an idiot in the first episode.
He had a number of options to choose from after he left the hospital, only to go with the bicycle. Considering there was an actual helicopter at his disposal, there must have been something wrong with Rick’s mind at that moment to pass it up.
5 Carol Doesn’t Have Common Sense
There are certain games The Walking Dead fans would love, but Carol’s favorite pastime seems to be to get people in their sleep. That’s what she did in Season 4 when two people were sick, figuring that it would be better to take their lives.
Not only did she kill them, Carol even torched their bodies due to her belief that it would keep the sickness at bay. This meme takes her actions to over-the-top lengths as she’s shown destroying everything in a fire based on a cough.
4 A Shaved Head Turns Anyone Insane
Shane is one of those villains who deserves a standalone title as he was just the right kind of badass and crazy. However, the TV series went so literal with their portrayal of his insanity that they associated it with him being bald.
Evidently, the show seems to assume that anyone who suddenly shaves their head is going to turn crazy, as evidenced by Shane when he let go of his former self to become a maniac once his head was totally shaven.
3 No One Cares About T-Dog
The lack of character usage is one of the reasons why some claim the TV series isn’t as good as the games. T-Dog will certainly agree with this notion due to being the most useless character in the show’s second season as he had nothing to do.
This meme makes light of this fact, claiming that Rick eventually forgot about T-Dog entirely and had to ask the guy who he is when T-Dog finally spoke up for a change. Well, it’s kind of his own fault for being so quiet all of the season.
2 How Does That Work?
The portrayal of a person being injured on The Walking Dead almost always has to do with them limping. That wouldn’t be a problem if the character was actually injured in the leg, but that’s rarely the case as these people get wounded everywhere other than their legs.
However, what’s most common is that they wind up limping for survival, which makes no sense since being injured in a place like an arm should still allow them to have the function of their legs.
1 You’ve Got To Be Clearer
The games of The Walking Dead are always fun to watch due to the choices included in them. Rick didn’t really understand how this worked in the pilot, although one can hardly blame him since the instructions provided weren’t exactly clear-cut.
When he arrived at the end of the corridor, he found the words “Don’t Open, Dead Inside” written on the doors. This meme points out how the placing of the words was confusing since it can easily be interpreted as “Don’t Dead, Open Inside.”
