Cyberpunk 2077 Timelapse Shows Game’s True Visual Potential

To the say that the last few months have been rather tumultuous for Cyberpunk 2077 would be a massive understatement. Having launched in an unfinished and buggy state and with patches and hotfixes rolling out as quick as they can, Cyberpunk 2077 certainly has a lot of room for improvement. Although, one recent video shows that the game still has a massive amount of potential in terms of how it can look visually.

As it stands right now, on most major platforms, Cyberpunk 2077 is rife with glitches, bugs, and other technical issues. While some of the more major game-breaking bugs for Cyberpunk 2077 have been fixed, the game still has a long way to go before all of these bugs are eventually fixed. However, that certainly doesn’t mean that the game has no room to grow or improve.

A brand new timelapse video put out by YouTuber CROWNED, shows off just how beautiful Cyberpunk 2077 has the potential to be. The footage captured for the video was done so on PC and utilized a variety of different Nexus mods that helped to improve the in-game graphics and polish. As opposed to the visual mods that make Cyberpunk 2077 look like Borderlands.

While this video did utilize mods, the game still looks extremely well polished and beautiful. The cinematic nature of the video adds so much to the game’s setting and visuals. A lot of great mods for Cyberpunk 2077 have released on PC so far and it’s decently fair to say that if fans of the game can make it look as beautiful as this, then it’s possible that the developers can make a strong comeback.

In fairness, CD Projekt Red is going through fairly rough times right now. With many members of the gaming community disappointed with the game and with the source code for Cyberpunk 2077 stolen from the studio, it seems like CD Projekt Red will have a long way to go before it can attempt to deliver on what was expected in terms of the game.

Having said all this, if this video is any indication, then Cyberpunk 2077 seems like it’s destined for much better things. In its current state, it’s safe to say that a lot can go wrong within Cyberpunk 2077, but at the very least, the developers are still working hard to give its community of fans the experience that they want. With the first big patch released on all major platforms, only time will tell if the second patch delivers a much higher functioning experience.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions coming in 2021.
