Loop Hero: How to Get Rid of Items | Game Rant

Loop Hero seems like a simple game, but when players first dive into this fun auto battler, there is a lot to learn. From the various types of monsters they will be facing to unlocking the different classes, there will be lots of nuances that players will need to pick up on to fully understand what is happening.

One confusing aspect of Loop Hero for new players is how they manage the items they will pick up on their runs. When monsters die, they can drop tile cards that players can place on the loop or drop items like weapons, armor, rings, and shields that will give players improved stats.

The items will appear on the right side of the screen in a 4×3 grid that will slowly fill up as more items are dropped. Players can pause the game by scrolling over the grid with their mouse to check the stats on each item and decide if they wish to use it or not. Should they wish to use an item, they can then drag it to the appropriate item slot above the inventory, and any equipped item will be destroyed when it is replaced.

Players do not need to get rid of items, as they will be added to the inventory in the order that they are picked up. When the inventory is full, and a new item is picked up, the 12th place item is pushed out of the inventory and destroyed, which turns it into Scrap Metal. The Scrap Metal is then added to the resources that players have found on the loop and can be taken back to the camp when they leave at the end of the run. Scrap Metal is one of many different resources that they will need to farm. Players can move items around in the inventory if they wish, ensuring items they may want to experiment with on the run are not destroyed.

Tile cards will be placed at the bottom of the screen, from left to right, in the order that they are picked up. When too many tiles are picked up, the tiles on the left are destroyed to make room for the new tiles, so players are encouraged to use them as quickly as possible. There are many tile combinations that will impact how the game players out, so players will want to learn as many as possible to get the most out of their tile drops.

It is often better to place tiles as they drop, leaving room for future expansion, rather than waiting for all the tiles to appear simultaneously. For example, a Mountain Peak should be constructed one tile at a time instead of waiting for all nine tiles. Tiles that are destroyed when they are replaced will reward players with Memory Fragments, another important resource.

Loop Hero is available now on PC.
