Everyone has a favorite superhero, whether they admire the noble heroism of Superman, envy the powers of Doctor Strange, or have a particular fondness for Green Arrow’s quips, everyone gravitates towards some characters more than others. So it’s good news for fans of DC’s Flash that the Snyder Cut is getting another teaser all about the speedster hero himself, courtesy of director Zack Snyder.
With just over a week until the film is released, one could be forgiven for thinking that Snyder and HBO Max might be running low on teasers for the director’s cut of Justice League. Between exclusive images, poster shakeups, brand new trailers, in-depth interviews, and early drafts of the scripts fans have certainly not been starved for content when it comes to Snyder’s vision of the DC cinematic universe.
To be fair, with a final running time of just over 4 hours, there’s certainly a lot to show off to fans before the full thing drops on HBO Max. While Snyder has discussed at length how his version of the superhero team-up film is much more focused on Cyborg and will include more scenes of Superman, the project is also set to have more scenes including just about everybody, and apparently the Flash will be no exception.
Posted to the director’s own Twitter feed, the teaser features Ezra Miller’s Flash in a handful of scenes from the film where his powers are on full display. The first clip shows him catching a batarang thrown at him by Bruce Wayne, with another clip of him saving a woman from a serious car accident, his shoes literally disintegrating from the speed of his movement.
Most interestingly though, the last clip shows him running through time itself with the lines “Make your own future. Make your own past. It’s all right now.” Flash’s ability to run fast enough to time travel has come up in the DC film universe before, but hasn’t been the center of attention, mostly relegated to small cliffhangers and cameo parts. It seems that the Snyder Cut plans to introduce this particular ability in a big way in this new version of the film.
A recent leak of Snyder’s first draft for Justice League 2 also featured Flash’s ability to time travel, so perhaps the Snyder Cut really will go full steam ahead on setting up a Justice League 2. Audiences will know for sure when the film finally releases in the next few weeks.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League hits HBO Max on March 18th.
