Since the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone, players have been battling against each other and earning kills. It was not long before a player set the very first kill record in the game, but after several breaks, the challenge only continued to grow. Now, a Call of Duty: Warzone squad has broken the latest record for kills by a squad in a single game.
The previous record sat at 143 kills within Call of Duty: Warzone. After several months, streamer Aydan and several teammates have broken the record through a battle of teamwork. To the surprise of fans, his victory exceeded expectations by shattering the previous benchmark set in Call of Duty: Warzone.
The announcement was made on Twitter as Aydan proudly shared a screenshot of his team and their kills. Partnered with @Scummn, @Almxnd_, and @TBE_Newbzz, the streamer, and his team scored a total of 162 kills within the battle royale quads game mode. This challenging endeavor set an intimidating new benchmark and was only possible through the efforts of his team as a whole. Stating that the record will never be broken, Aydan and his team are now champions of Call of Duty: Warzone and holders of the current kill record.
This victory comes with a grain of salt as there has been fierce discussion regarding the lobby’s quality. Aydan himself acknowledged that the lobby was bronze negative 10, and with such easy-to-kill players, the competitive team was able to dominate quickly across the map of Verdansk. Despite this, the speed and pace at which they could score kills and travel the map shows an incredible amount of skill and dedication.
Low-rank lobbies are considered unfair for record competition by many in the streaming community. Call of Duty: Warzone players could easily slaughter bots, and low-tier players tend to not be more skilled than the AI. In that regard, there is a little challenge for claiming kills in Call of Duty: Warzone as the lobby was less than competitive.
Despite this, the number is still exceptionally large, and to even get close to the same score; players would need to be lighting fast. In a lobby of low-skilled players, the group still managed to score over 150 kills in a lobby of 200 players. This alone, for many fans, is worthy of recognition in Call of Duty: Warzone despite the low tier of the lobby itself and the competitive nature of the streamers.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
