Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 kicks off with game’s first single-player story portion

New round of content launches next week.

The next series of Fortnite is going to start with something entirely different.

In a post on its website, Epic Games said that Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 kicks off on March 16 with the first-ever single-player narrative segment in Epic’s battle royale hit to date.

“When you first launch into the new Season, you’ll play through the conclusion of Agent Jones’ mission in the Zero Crisis Finale. The aftermath of this event is sure to shape Reality as we know it,” the firm wrote.

“Don’t worry, the Zero Crisis Finale is a solo experience and you can play through it whenever you first log in during the Season. Want to watch it online first? We’ll share details soon on how you can watch the global premiere with everyone, beginning with our most ambitious story cinematic yet!

“With the fate of Reality at stake, here are a few tips before the end of Season 5 and we’ll see you on the other side.”

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 has been running since December 2020 and has seen Agent Jones bringing people from different realities together to help him stabilize The Zero Point.

In practical terms, this translates to characters from beloved brands coming to the battle royale title. So far these have included the Mandalorian, God of War’s Kratos, Master Chief from Halo, the T-800 Terminator and Sarah Connor, as well as Predator.
