Forza Horizon 4 Has Made Its Steam Debut | Game Rant

Joining other Xbox exclusives like Gears 5, Halo: The Master Chief Collectionand Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 4 has officially made its way to Steam. It becomes the first iteration of the franchise to hit Valve’s seminal PC storefront, bringing the series’ refined driving mechanics and stunning open-world racing to an array of new fans.

Forza Horizon 4‘s jump to Steam is joined by all the additional content featured on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Microsoft Store versions of the game. That includes the recently released Hot Wheels Car Pack, the LEGO Speed Champions add-on, the Best of Bond Car Pack, and the Japanese Heroes Car Pack.

Its standard edition will set players back $59.99, while its Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition are priced at $79.99 and $99.99 respectively. The game is the next in a long line of Microsoft products getting ported to Valve’s digital marketplace, with the publisher bringing some of its biggest franchises to the store. It’s gotten some big returns from the decision, with Sea of Thieves’ jump to Steam resulting in major success for the game, which managed to top the site’s sales charts months after its debut. In early January, Rare’s pirate simulator was even competing with some of Steam’s biggest games, including Cyberpunk 2077, Rust, Grand Theft Auto 5, Hades, and Phasmophobia.

Forza Horizon 4 could find similar success, launching to stellar reviews back in 2018. The concept sees players take part in a racing-focused festival, where they have to buy cars, take part in high-octane events, and establish their legacy as one of the best drivers in the world. Along the way, they’ll be able to drive through an open-world rendition of rural England, complete with changing seasons that affect the terrain. The game was hailed as one of the racing franchise’s very best entries and a killer exclusive for the Xbox One.

The team behind Forza, Playground Games, is currently hard at work on developing a new entry in the Fable franchise, which will launch on Xbox Series X and PC. Although little is known about the game, it will seemingly be a reboot of the IP, with the trailer hinting it will return to the first game’s fantasy setting rather than continue on from its industrial-revolution-inspired sequels. The team is also working on a new Forza game, which will simply be titled Forza Motorsport. Although both games will come to PC on the Microsoft Store, it will be interesting to see whether they also join Steam’s marketplace following their release.

Forza Horizon 4 is out now on PC and Xbox One.
