Hello Neighbor Publisher Goes Public | Game Rant

TinyBuild, the indie publishing house that has enjoyed a wealth of success after the explosion of its Hello Neighbor series, seems to be taking cues from other companies like Roblox in their latest business decisions. The company is looking to continue on its upward trajectory, and the first major step on that path has taken them public on the London Stock Exchange.

TinyBuild is perhaps best known for its status as publisher of the Hello Neighbor horror franchise after its purchase of the development studio last year. The series has since become a miniature multimedia empire of its own, but TinyBuild has plenty of other games up its sleeve, including the ridiculous ragdoll physics sim Totally Reliable Delivery Service and the game that started the company in the first place, No Time to Explain.

The latest development in the company’s journey saw it going public yesterday, listing its shares on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market. Share prices opened at £169 ($234.45) and closed at £215 ($298.26) by the end of the day, where they are still hovering at the time of writing. As a result, the value of the company has jumped from $474 million to an impressive $600 million.

TinyBuild CEO Alex Nichiporchik was reportedly thrilled by their early successes as a public company, commenting, “We were delighted by the level of investor appetite we have experienced during the IPO process and we welcome our new shareholders to TinyBuild.” The company seeks to build on the success of Hello Neighbor and its other franchises and to continue to partner with more development teams to “ensure the creation of long-lasting IP which can be developed into multi-game franchises” in the future.

Indeed, with Hello Neighbor sequel coming later this year and a slew of other development studios now under the same umbrella, the company seems on very firm footing. With 40 games in its portfolio already and a further 23 scheduled for 2021 and 2022, to say nothing of the cross-media spin-offs and side bets, it would appear TinyBuild has an exciting future ahead.
