Paradise Lost is Launching This Month | Game Rant

Paradise Lost, a post-apocalyptic adventure that mixes Slavic mythology with futurism and technology, will be available to play later this month.

From PolyAmorous, a studio that believes in games’ power and importance, Paradise Lost is certainly an ambitious project. Players will assume the role of Szymon, a 12-year-old boy dealing with loss, exploring the 5 stages of grief. Already a horrific subject, Paradise Lost puts a terrifying spin on World War 2: instead of lasting only 6 years, in Paradise Lost, it’s gone on for 20 and concluded with a post-apocalyptic wasteland version of Europe. A mysterious girl named Ewa acts as Szymon’s guide, but her true intentions are unknown.

As Szymon attempts to solve the mystery of his origins in Paradise Losthe finds himself in an underground Nazi bunker, an enormous area design to fit not only Nazi soldiers but civilians to keep the place running. Players will explore the bunker, find clues, and solve puzzles, and it doesn’t look like much or any combat will appear in PolyAmorous’s debut title. The simple controls, PolyAmorous states, are meant to highlight the meaningful interactions.

Based on the trailers, Paradise Lost boasts a stunning design supported by layers of narrative. According to the developer, the story of Paradise Lost will branch in different directions based on the player’s choices, affecting the characters, visuals, and sound effects. Additionally, the post-nuclear world will feature elements of Slavic mythology.

If players wish to pre-order Paradise Lost, which will be $14.99, they’ll receive a 20% discount for Xbox One and a 34% discount if buying the PC version through GOG.

Paradise Lost launches March 24, 2021 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
