To The Rescue is a dog shelter simulator coming later this year, but the indie game also donates some of its profits to help real animal shelters.
In To The Rescue, players work for a dog shelter, where the slew of unique dogs each have their own personality and needs such as health status, and raise their adoptability levels to get them to a good home. A Dog Log will assist in keeping track of the pups as players feed, water, and bathe them whilst upgrading and designing the shelter to their preferences. In this upcoming life sim game, players will also need to budget out expenses such as dog food. And, even better, players can pet the dogs they save and care for.
From indie developer Little Rock Games, To The Rescue will launch later this year for $19.99, but 20% of the profits will be donated to real dog shelters. Currently, the game’s website states that more details will be added at a later date.
To keep things interesting, To The Rescue will also boast a number of unexpected challenges. Sometimes dogs will need specific medicine for their special needs and other times it’s the people looking to adopt that seek something specific. Players will also be tasked with tending to a social media page to raise awareness and organizing adopt-a-thons for the pooches in need of a new home in this upcoming indie title.
This indie game is procedurally generated, meaning that each player’s experience is completely randomized and unique as they aim to bring dogs to their forever homes.
To The Rescue launches later this year for PC and Switch.
