Developer Virtual Magic Games and publisher Toplitz Productions release an official reveal trailer for Wild West Dynasty. The new game follows the journey of a lonely cowboy throughout his journey as he builds his way up to becoming the major of a gold-digging town.
Wild West Dynasty is the latest game in the Dynasty simulation series from Toplitz, not to be confused with the Dynasty Warriors games. While those games are hack-and-slash action games, the Dynasty simulation games like Farmer’s Dynasty and Lumberjack’s Dynasty are unique simulation games that provide players with gameplay experiences that mirror the real lifestyles they emulate.
The Wild West Dynasty reveal trailer looks rather stunning. The trailer shows everything from wide-open canyon vistas and beautiful lush rivers within forests to the inside of detailed cabins and dusty desert landscapes. Additionally, the trailer seems to be tackling interesting things from a narrative perspective. There is a narrator that talks about the promise of the wild west, as his parents came to the land with much hope, but all that was found was dirt and death. Wild West Dynasty will have to compete against many great cowboy video games, but the reveal trailer looks promising.
In Wild West Dynasty, players will need to build their own ranch and provide food and wealth for their camp. Doing so will allow other settlers to join. The game will feature a realistic wild west atmosphere played from a first-person perspective, a story mode, a free game mode that allows players to build a town outside of the store mode, the ability to create a dynasty that can last for decades, a development skill tree, gold mining, rodeo riding, horseback riding, and more. It is clear that the game has heavy simulation elements, and there certainly seems to be a lot to offer based on the trailer and the Steam game description.
The biggest competition for Wild West Dynasty will likely be the highly regarded Red Dead Redemption 2. Even though the game would be considered an action-adventure, it broke boundaries with many simulation-type elements, as players needed to manage things like shaving or bathing their own character. It is not easy to follow-up a game like Red Dead Redemption 2. Wild West Dynasty will either need to do things to genuinely stand out and be different, or do things that are even better.
Wild West Dynasty will release on PC in 2022.
