Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 was expected to add several new weapons to the game, but the predicted items never officially appeared. Despite this, community members found a way to unlock the CX-9, RAAL LMG, and Sykov Pistol early using a glitch within the game’s reward system. With the new weapons unlocked, Call of Duty: Warzone fans got an early look at several future items.
While the release of these weapons was not planned as of yet, word of how to unlock them spread among the game’s community. Call of Duty: Warzone guides on how to unlock the CX-9 became common, and many players begin using the new weapon. A new patch seems to have regained control as the developer remove several weapons from the game.
After a recent update, a change was noticed in the game that the developer has not listed. Call of Duty: Warzone’s update has secretly removed the CX-9, RAAL LMG, and Sykov Pistols from the game. While these weapons were originally available as ground loot, they have suddenly gone missing in all game modes. While this is the first time that a weapon has been removed from Call of Duty: Warzone without a developer comment, many fans are not surprised that it has happened. The guns were officially not released, and any access to them was obviously a mistake on the developer’s part. Despite players having access, Call of Duty: Warzone’s development team was sure to step in eventually.
With the guns continuing to be absent, many fans are wondering if they will ever be officially added to the game. Call of Duty: Warzone Season 7 was supposed to release them, but now many players view the guns as a forever-locked item. Since the integration with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the weapons are locked in a perpetual limbo of non-existence.
Some players expect that Call of Duty: Warzone will return the weapons as part of a remastered bundle. With the Soap bundle predicted, the Serac CX-9 was intended to launch alongside the operator. This leaves many Call of Duty: Warzone fans expecting all the weapons to return when Soap makes it to the battle royale.
Till then, Call of Duty: Warzone fans will have to play without the weapons. The Warzone glitches that allowed access to the guns no longer function and players are left without an answer as to whether they will ever return.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, Ps5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
