Fortnite Season 6 is underway, and it introduces fun new challenges and objectives to complete. Among these is a series of challenges in which players are directed to investigate anomalies in various locations, including Shark Island. The anomaly challenges are tied to the new battle pass in Season 6, and players will need to unlock the questline related to Jones’ Field Pack to get started. The first challenge in the questline is to investigate an anomaly detected in Lazy Lake. After completing that objective, the player should continue enjoying the other new features introduced in Fortnite Season 6 until they reach battle pass tier 28. This will unlock the next anomaly challenge for Shark Island.
After enough crafting, fighting, and of course, animal taming, players will reach battle pass tier 28 and be ready to head to Shark Island for the next anomaly challenge. The island in question is way up in the northwest corner of the map. On the way to the destination, it would be wise to pick up some building materials. Players should also gear up with the best weapons they can find because others will likely be in the area and a shootout is sure to occur.
Near the northern edge of Shark Island, a glowing butterfly will be waiting. It will be recognizable as the same butterfly from the previous Lazy Lake anomaly. Following the butterfly will bring the player to a hologram projector. To trigger the anomaly, players will have to perform the emote indicated by the hologram. There are three projectors in total, so the process will have to be repeated until the anomaly finally emerges.
The anomaly is suspended mid-air, high above the ground. The only way to reach it is to build some platforms or ramps. For players who aren’t already stocked on building materials, there are trees in the vicinity that can be harvested. For players who simply want to complete the challenge quickly and efficiently, it should be noted that the Team Rumble game mode supplies players with supplies from the beginning of the match. After investigating this anomaly, the anomaly at Catty Corner will be available starting at battle pass tier 49.
