Little Nightmares 2: Everything You Need To Know About The Teacher

In Little Nightmares II, the player controls a little boy named Mono as he journeys through several terrifying locations trying to survive and hopefully escape. He makes his way through the Wilderness, the School, the Hospital, the Pale City, and the Signal Tower.

Right after Mono gets out of the Wilderness (the first level) and kills the Hunter, he (and Six) enters the School. In the School, Mono meets the Teacher. She is the second antagonist in the game and the main one of this level in particular. This middle-aged woman is sadistic, to say the least, and is not like other teachers…or people in general.

8 The Teacher According To Official Descriptions

According to the official Little Nightmares Twitter, the Teacher is “an educator with an unusual ability to detect troublemakers.” When it comes to her class, only “well-behaved children” are allowed to attend.

On the game’s official website, however, it reads: “Misbehaviour will not be tolerated in The Teacher’s classroom, and nothing escapes her cold, twisted gaze. In her domain, children should be seen and not heard, and if one should be heard, they will never be seen again.”

7 The Teacher Has Looks That Kill

It would not be hard to believe that the Teacher goes hard when it comes to cardio, and she knows how to dress too. The Teacher looks straight out of the early 1900s with her white socks, beige shirt, and black closed, low-cut shoes with straps.

When it comes to her appearance, the Teacher is quite an unsettling sight. Her head is huge in relation to the rest of her body and it apparently made of concrete since it can break through metal bars. She has baggy eyes, gray hair, and a mouth marked with a constant (evil) smirk. The Teacher also has wrinkles, lots of them.

However, perhaps the best part about the Teacher is her neck. The Teacher’s neck can stretch, like a snake. In fact, it can elongate several meters and bend around walls and obstacles. Students may think they are safe from her on the other end of the hallway, but they are not, at all.

6 The Teacher May Be Partially Blind

While the Teacher’s neck can reach far-off places, she appears to not see very well. Mono can hide from her easily by scurrying under open dark crates.

That being said, if Mono makes even the slightest noise, the Teacher immediately becomes alarmed and sets off on a rampage to whichever location the sound came from. Also, she uses the Bullies as minions, commanding them to attack Mono whenever she feels lazy.

If the Teacher gets close enough to Mono, she will gobble him up with her mouth. Coupled with her ability to stretch out her neck and lunge her face at Mono when triggered, this makes the Teacher a frightening threat. Last but not least, the Teacher can seize Mono with her hand too (although he must be right nearby).

5 The Teacher Is Quite The Pianist

At the end of the School level, after Mono saves Six from the Bullies, the duo finds the Teacher playing the piano in a room in the corner of the building. Not only does she play the piano exceptionally well, but she also knows theory, taking breaks between playing to write down the music.

Unfortunately, this is the Teacher’s downfall. Because she plays too loud, the Teacher is unable to hear Mono and Six escape through an open vent in the room. After she becomes aware of their escape, the Teacher instantly goes off chasing them through the narrow vents and almost succeeds thanks to her amazingly stretchy neck.

However, Mono and Six successfully (albeit barely) escape right before the Teacher can bite and swallow them whole. They land in a dumpster underneath the window and the Teacher cannot locate them so she heads back inside the School to continue working on her music.

4 The Teacher Rules The School

There are no staff members inside the School besides the Teacher (and the Bullies supposedly). Not only does she work full-time, but the Teacher also seems to live in the School too.

The School itself is a small building with three stores. There is a clock at the tippy top that looks like an eye and a playground right out front by the entrance. Inside, there is trash littered all about as well as knocked down lockers everywhere. There is overall poor lighting throughout the campus and many frayed wires lying around.

Besides the numerous hallways in the School, there is a library, a cafeteria, a laboratory, and a music room.

3 The Teacher Controls All The Students

The students in the School either did not receive anti-bullying classes or failed horribly. They are all Bullies. And all the Bullies are controlled with an iron fist by the Teacher.

They are nasty little troublemakers who will attack not only Mono but each other as well. In addition to being highly rowdy, they are totally ruthless, stopping at nothing to chase down Mono until they catch him. Still, around the Teacher, they are obedient.

In Little Nightmares II, the player discovers the Bullies are seemingly made out of porcelain. When Mono strikes them with a weapon, they crack open. Inside, they are fully hollow.

2 The Teacher Was Foreseen All Along

In the final chapter of the “Secrets of the Maw” DLC in Little Nightmares, the Runaway Kid finds himself in the Lady’s Quarters, also referred to as The Residence. Here, the player can see portraits on the wall of familiar faces: the Hunter, the Doctor, and the Teacher.

Who knew this awful woman was in fact one of the main villains of Little Nightmares II, which is confirmed to be a prequel to Little Nightmares.

1 The Teacher Does Not Die

Just like the Twin Chefs in Little Nightmares, the Teacher in Little Nightmares II is the second boss the player encounters. On top of that, and most importantly, both are not killed by the protagonist (Six or Mono).

That being said, it does seem like the Teacher was originally supposed to die. When Mono and Six make their final leap out of the vents, the Teacher squeezes her head through one last time and the potential for decapitation is there. But the developers let her live; perhaps it was too gruesome a death, even for the Little Nightmares series.
