With the release of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town coming up on March 23, publishers Marvelous Entertainment and XSEED Games have revealed the Premium and Deluxe editions of the game. With the Story of Seasons franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, farming simulator fans should be excited for a brand new adventure on the Nintendo Switch.
There are currently two different special editions of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town available for pre-order. XSEED Games is in charge of the North American release and the Premium edition of the game while Marvelous Entertainment is in charge of the European release and the Deluxe edition of the game. While these two editions are physical releases, fans will also have the option to pre-order the digital edition and receive bonuses as well.
North American fans looking to pre-order a special edition of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town can do so from XSEED Games where they will receive a number of bonuses along with a physical retail copy of the game. The Premium Edition will come with a cute 2.5″ tall x 4″ long pocket plushie of title mascot “Buffy” the buffalo as well as a 13.5″ x 24″ cloth poster featuring the full key illustration of the game. This version of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will come bundled in an exclusive box and will cost $59.99 USD ($79.99 CAD).
It is currently available to be pre-ordered on the official XSEED site and select retailers.
European fans looking to pre-order a special edition of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town can do so from Marvelous Entertainment where they will also receive a number of bonuses along with a physical retail copy of the game. The Deluxe Edition will come with an exclusive A3 sized poster featuring artwork from series artist Igusa Matsuyama, an A5 notebook, and 10 trading cards which feature character bios.
This version of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will come bundled in an exclusive box and can be pre-ordered from a large list of retailers available on the Marvelous Entertainment site.
European fans that are looking for the “Buffy” the buffalo plush toy from the North American Premium Edition won’t need to worry as Marvelous Entertainment has bundled it together with the base game. While supplies last, European players who pre-order Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will also receive the buffalo plush, so this is a great option for players who don’t want to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition.
The digital versions of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town will also come with some nice bonuses. Any North American player that pre-orders the game digitally will receive an exclusive buffalo costume DLC while any European player that pre-orders the game digitally will receive an exclusive fox costume DLC.
On the release date, the Nintendo eShop will also have an expansion pass available for players looking to get the complete experience. The Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town expansion pass will include 5 parts released on a monthly basis from April 2021 to August 2021. Digital players will have the ability to pre-order a digital bundle pack containing both the base game and expansion pass.
