Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Ostara Festival Guide | Game Rant

As March is quickly coming to an end, many games, such as Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, are kicking off the new season with a variety of different events happening within the game. To celebrate the in-game spring season festivities, Ubisoft has started the Ostara Season festival event, which began as of March 18th, 2021.

The Ostara Festival takes place in Ravensthorpe and has multiple fun and combat-heavy quests for Eivor to gain a plethora of cool items and cosmetics. Gamers can participate in the Ostara Season Egg Hunt, decorate settlements, protect the village from evil spirits, or find a new crown for the May Queen.

The Ostara Festival comes for free as part of the 1.2.0 update for all players who own the original game. In total, the festival will last for about three weeks and should end on April 8th, 2021. For Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla players looking to celebrate the event to the fullest, here is a complete guide for what they need to know.

By visiting the vendor in Norvid, players will get a quick introduction to the event and will be able to trade items for Festival Tokens. Norvid will also start players off with a beginning quest to decorate the settlement. By placing five decorations on pedestals around Ravensthorpe, gamers will earn 50 festival tokens.

This quest begins when players talk to Mayda, the girl standing next to the wooden throne. Mayda tells Eivor she is unhappy with her crowns and wants a new one. Gamers are then tasked to track down a mighty beast with Odin’s Sight and kill it. The reward for this quest is 140 Festival Tokens.

By talking to Braun, players will be challenged to a drinking contest in Assassin’ Creed Valhalla against him. While gamers only get 10 Festival Tokens for winning, this quest can be repeated as many times as they want.

To start the Spiritual Defense quest in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, players must wait till nightfall to talk to Alvis. Then, fans must travel to the north end of Ravensthorpe, follow the guide Ake, and light eight firepits. Once that is done, find Ake on a nearby hill and activate the Foul Totem. Once the evil spirits are defeated, gamers will earn 140 Festival Tokens.

To begin the egg hunt, players need to talk to Alwin in the festival grounds area. There are 15 eggs in total; some require Odin’s Sight to find, others can only be found by following clues Odin provides. When all the baskets are collect, gamers can return them to Alwin for 140 Festival Tokens.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
