Call of Duty: Warzone NecroKing Bundle Pulled Due to Bugs

Call of Duty: Warzone is making its way through Season 2 of its Black Ops Cold War-focused content. While the big shift to a new map is still on hold, the in-game store is regularly being updated with new bundles of gear for players to add to their loadout. Call of Duty: Warzone has been hit with a couple of issues regarding some of the weapons being added to the mix, and now it appears that a recently released gun is bugged.

The cycling in of new content is part of what keeps the Warzone ecosystem running. New bundles hitting the Call of Duty store are drawing attention, but a good number of folks playing Warzone right now are focused on what may be on the way. Warzone‘s map, Verdansk, is currently subject to a plethora of rumors regarding its fate. As Season 2 has gone on, there has been more evidence that something major is going to happen. A recent tease of a nuke event in Warzone has players feeling fairly certain that the new Warzone map is on the way. While they wait, players who are dipping into the store are being met with a Mastercraft bundle that is not living up to the name, or the price tag.

The NecroKing Mastercraft bundle takes the rather ordinary-looking Krig 6 assault rifle and transforms it into a dragon, with the Ice Drake blueprint. For 2400 COD points (approximately $20 USD), a Mastercraft bundle in Warzone completely makes over a gun, but as with any blueprint, putting different attachments on the gun will cause it to lose its unique look. A dragon-less Krig 6 is not even worth most folks’ time, as the gun doesn’t fit into the current meta.

While some fans are complaining about this, the bigger issue is that the gun can cause bugs in game. One being that the COD store becomes unusable, but worse, dropping into Verdansk with the Ice Drake has left several players without any weapons to use at all. This is the second issue in a week for weapon bundles, as earlier the Black Ops Cold War Crossbow leaked to the COD store early, before being pulled from the game.

In some respects it would seem that there is an uptick in issues like this as more time is likely being devoted to the (rumored) upcoming map rollout. Bugged weapons and bundles leaking early hasn’t been a common occurrence in Warzone, so it is unusual to see. Warzone developers also recently removed the CX-9, RAAL LMG, and Sykov Pistol from the mix after fans were able to get their hands on the guns through an exploit.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
