In Elder Scrolls Online, there are a total of eighteen Western Skyrim skyshards. Players that collect three skyshards will receive one skill point for their efforts. With almost 500 total skyshards, gamers will be able to climb the ranks by locating as many skyshards as possible.
Most of the locations are relatively easy to find, but some can be tricky. Players should not make the mistake of searching for the shyshards blindly. This guide will cover all eighteen skyshard locations, including the route to get there. While the journey can be time-consuming, collecting skyshards is one of the best methods to level up fast in ESO.
After traveling to Storm Hawk’s Altar, players will find the skyshard about 100 meters to the Northeast of the altar. If facing the Altar, players should ride northeast until they see the edge of the cliff. The shard will be located just to the north of the cliff’s edge behind a tree.
After reaching the Frozen Coast, players should immediately head south from the center of the island and follow the cave system to the west/southwest. While in the caves, gamers should stay to the right until they reach the coastline. Next, the pathway will lead players to the West, directly where the shard is located.
While in Shadowgreen, players need to take the tunnel system to the south that leads up the mountain. The shard will be located on the right side of the cave entrance down a small pathway on the cliffside.
The shard in Dragonhome can be found next to the cliffside altar. The altar is on the east side of Dragonhome overlooking the river. Players will find the skyshard right behind the altar.
Dragon’s Belly is located just to the east of the Lendoran Ruin. Gamers will find the shard on the top of the large rock structure.
Players will find the skyshard at the top of the Circle of Champions. The shard is to the southeast of both the Mor Khazgur Giant Camp and the Mor Khazgur Shrine.
Gamers will find the shard on a cliffside just to the east of Karthwatch. If players take the fork in the road from Karthwatch, the shard is located on the mountain just to the southwest of the fork.
ESO players will first have to enter the Frostvenom Spider’s Nest which is located in Chillwind Depths. Once in the nest, players want to be on the east side of the nest. Gamers should look for a pathway covered by spiders webs. The pathway will lead players to the shard.
Just to the east of Hunter’s House there is an altar. Players will find the skyshard located to the south of the altar on the top of a boulder.
The shard near Morthal is actually located right between Morthal and Labyrinthian. ESO gamers should travel south from Morthal and go southwest after they reach the fork in the road. The shard will be located in the snowy mountains.
The Labyrinthian shard is located in the mound which is almost directly in the middle of the city. Players that follow the path that leads south will not be able to miss the area.
ESO gamers will find the shard on the outside of the southeast wall of the Greymoor keep. The shard will be located right next to the wall before the river of lava.
Midnight Barrow is directly to the southeast of Greymoor keep. Gamers can find the shard just to the northeast of midnight barrow at the bottom of a set of stairs.
To get to the Lightless Hollow shard, players need to go directly south of the wayshrine to the body of water that appears on the map. Gamers will discover the shard at the top of the waterfall.
The Dusktown Wayshrine is located at Dwarf’s Bane Ritual Site south of Greymoor Keep. Once in Dusktown, players should head east until they reach the ritual site. Once at the site, they should go to the south near a small inlet. Players will discover the shard amongst purple crystals.
Nchuthnkarst is located to the east of Dusktown. To find the shard, gamers must travel on the path that leads northeast from Nchuthnkarst. At the end of the path, there is a broken bridge that overlooks the crescent pool where the shard is located.
To the southwest of the Dark Moon Way Shrine lies the Dwarven Ruins. Once inside, players will find the shard tucked behind rocks on the west side of the ruins.
The Scraps is located to the southwest of Greymoor Keep. Players can find the Scraps skyshard on the east side of the dungeon inside of what looks like a cell. The shard will be surrounded by random items. Players entering the Scraps should follow the initial path and make a left once they reach the large room with multiple passageways. Gamers need to take the path on the northeast side of the room, make a right, and head down the stairs. Next players will make a right at the bottom of the stairs and the pathway will lead players to the shard, which will be immediately on their right.
