It looks like the free-to-play action-RPG Genshin Impact is continuing to expand. The gacha-style fantasy game by developer miHoYo has brought in fans of all kinds across multiple platforms. It turns out that Genshin Impact is receiving another update, and a leak for patch 1.5 shows plenty of goodies.
As a live service game, miHoYo’s RPG consistently gets more content for fans to enjoy. From limited-time events to new characters in Genshin Impact, the team provides a lot of ways to keep players engaged. Twitter poster Zeniet has leaked a clip showing off a tease of what is coming in version 1.5.
The primary aspect shown in the video is the previously teased house crafting feature. Zeniet describes it as massive, and from the clip players can see it is fairly significant. The inside of the house seems fairly spacious, and allows for plenty of customization. While furniture and decorations look to have costs, players can easily drag and drop each piece into the desired spot. The location for the structure is huge as well, and seems to allow fans to place items outside too. The Twitter user also notes that these aspects may change in the final release of 1.5, though.
Other than the housing, Genshin Impact players can expect a lot of other activities too. Apparently, there will be three events in all, which should involve a decent grind with good rewards like the Ley Line Overflow event. There is going to be a new Weekly and World Boss, which will give end game players something to test their skills on. This is all on top of an additional Artifact Domain with more artifacts to collect. While 1.5 is not going to be bringing the Chasm into the game, it will supposedly have more content than the previous version.
There is little doubt that the 1.5 update will not be exciting for hardcore fans. If housing comes in the form shown in this leak, that offers even more reason to hop back in for more. The title encourages players to grind and use Wishes in Genshin Impact to unlock more heroes to diversify squads. Providing an option to fully customize the interior and exterior of a home will keep fans playing activities to gather the necessary resources.
The leak will come as a disappointment to those hoping for an extra area of the map to explore. The Chasm is locked and inaccessible for exploration, remaining as a constant tease for the curious fans of Genshin Impact. Even Zeniet acknowledges that the housing changes might be different in the official release, which could end up as a feature lacking content. In any case, the 1.5 update will likely bring in fans and new players to enjoy all the extra activities.
Genshin Impact is out now for Mobile, PC, and PS4, and is in development for PS5 and Switch.
