The Windblume Festival is well underway in Genshin Impact Version 1.4, and players are busy taking on all the new quests and activities that are currently available. There are fun games and even a challenging domain to take on for a chance to earn coupons that can be traded for great rewards. There are also limited time event quests, which are being added over the course of the festival in real-world time. One of the latest quests involves mixing a special drink for Margaret.
Margaret can be found near the sitting area in front of the Cat’s Tail Tavern in Mondstadt, a frequent destination for Genshin Impact players. To locate her more quickly, players can access the Festive Anecdotes page under Invitation of Windblume in the Events Overview menu. Find the Windbrew quest, and input the prompt to Navigate. The game will guide players directly to Margaret’s position and the quest can begin. It should be noted that there is a reward of 20 Primogems for completing this quest, so it’s in every player’s best interest to complete them all before the quest period ends.
Though other quests in the Windblume Festival have featured appearances from major characters like Kaeya, “Windbrew” is a minor quest but still very much worth doing. Upon speaking to Margaret, the player will be prompted to choose between gathering Dandelions or Windwheel Asters. The response to this choice does not particularly matter. Either way, it will lead to a short battle in the wilderness after which the player must pick up a unique variant of the chosen flower. With the items in hand, the Traveler returns to Margaret and is then asked to craft the special Windbrew according to some very specific instructions.
When the time comes to mix the Windbrew, the player must perform the steps in a very certain order. Margaret will provide the instructions directly before the task, and she can be spoken to again if a refresher is needed. However, it would be much more convenient to have a handy reference to look at. The list below provides the steps in the correct order:
- Sweet Flower
- Milk
- Windwheel Aster
- Let it sit
- Dandelion Seeds
- Ice cubes
The final step in the Windbrew quest is to offer the new beverage to some Mondstadt citizens as a taste test. Players need only follow the quest markers to the three NPCs and then report back to Margaret. It turns out that most festival-goers prefer the alcoholic drinks at the establishment owned by Master Diluc, but the flavor of Margaret’s Windbrew was still a big hit and will likely be popular with children and on-duty guards. The Traveler can be happy about it too, with 20 Primogems pocketed as well as some EXP items and Mora.
There’s much more to see and do for dedicated players, with more quests coming in the Windblume Festival series. There’s also a new playable character coming soon as part of the Version 1.4 updates. It stands to reason that the Windblume Festival is a perfect chance to collect lots of Primogems in preparation for upcoming character Wishes.
