Leslie Jones Hilariously Live-Tweeted Her Watch Of Zack Snyder’s Justice League

Zack Snyder’s Justice League was finally released on HBO Max last week and audiences have been busy sharing their reactions to the updated re-release of the DC superhero film. Amongst those most vocal is comedian and Saturday Night Live alum Leslie Jones, who live-tweeted herself watching the Snyder Cut.

Jones began her career as a stand-up comedian and was thrust into stardom after she joined the cast of SNL in 2014. She was then cast in the all-female reboot of Ghostbusters in 2016, which further increased her stardom. Sadly, fame and success also come with a downside. After the release of the Ghostbusters reboot, Jones was relentlessly harassed on social media (Twitter in particular) by racist and misogynistic trolls, including infamous alt-right personality Milo Yiannopoulos, which resulted in his permanent ban from Twitter. Following this online harassment campaign, Jones received an outpouring of support from her fans and other celebrities. Thankfully, her attackers weren’t able to force her off Twitter and she continues to be a vocal and comedic voice on the platform.

More recently, Jones has developed a reputation for her hilarious commentary while live-tweeting movies, TV shows, and news programs like MSNBC. In particular, Jones received a lot of enthusiasm for her live tweets of the 2016 Summer Olympics, which actually led to her being invited to Rio De Janeiro to join NBC briefly as a commentator. Other popular shows she’s live-tweeted include HBO’s epic fantasy series Game of Thronesthe competitive reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race, and more recently the new CBS show The Equalizer starring Queen Latifah.

Jones’ latest viral live tweet endeavor comes in the form of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which was finally released on HBO Max last week after a long and arduous journey. So far, Snyder’s version of the film has been met with generally positive reviews, with most fans and critics agreeing that it is, at the very least, vastly superior to the 2017 theatrical release of Justice League.

Jones covered Zack Snyder’s Justice League in great detail and you can view the entire Twitter thread on her personal account. Along with Jones‘ many hilarious and astute observations, she also seems to agree with criticisms regarding the film’s extraordinarily long run-time, captioning her tweets with the hashtag #longassmovie. Other highlights of Jones’ Twitter thread include sexualizing the movie’s main antagonist Steppenwolf and pointing out the absurdity of burying Superman’s body using regular burial methods.

Jones is just one of many who enthusiastically expressed their opinion regarding Zack Snyder’s Justice League online. In fact, so many fans were discussing the film upon its HBO Max debut that “Snyder Cut” ended up trending on Twitter.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is available right now on HBO Max.
