Back in 2019, Fortnite developer Epic Games purchased Psyonix, the developer responsible for the popular cars-meets-soccer game Rocket League, in a monumental acquisition. About a year later, the game officially went free-to-play on the Epic Games Store, kicking off with a limited-time Llama-Rama Fortnite crossover event that brought fans Fortnite-themed cosmetics and more.
Although Fortnite‘s latest season just kicked off, it looks like Rocket League‘s second official season is coming to an end as Psyonix has officially announced Llama-Rama 2021 in celebration of the end of Rocket League Season 2. Closing out the season, the Llama-Rama event will feature new challenges allowing players to unlock even more Fortnite-themed items.
Llama-Rama will last from March 25 to April 9, also bringing along a new Kaskade bundle in the item shop consisting of items inspired by the Season 2-headlining artist. The bundle can be purchased for 1000 in-game credits and will include new Octane and Dominus Decals, two sets of Kaskade Wheels in Orange and Cobalt, as well as a new Player Anthem featuring Kaskade’s “Miles To Go.”
On the game’s official website, Rocket League lays out the premise of the event, “play matches, complete challenges, get rewards.” The new Fortnite-themed items players will be able to unlock during Llama-Rama include the Umbrella Royale Wheels, Yonder’s Fleece Octane Decal, and the Llama Bell Player Anthem. The new Wheels will be unlocked by getting 5 clears and centers during online matches, the Decal by getting 5 goals, assists, or saves during matches, and the Anthem by getting 500 points total in matches. A special Top Llama ME Topper will also be available for free throughout the duration of the event.
Rocket League is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
