Rainbow Six Siege Reveals Resident Evil Collaboration Zofia Elite Set

Operation Crimson Heist is officially live in Rainbow Six Siege, introducing a new operator named Santiago “Flores” Lucero and his special equipment known as the RCE-Ratero Charge. Taking a normal drone, Flores has added his own explosives to it, giving the player ten seconds after activating it to find the spot where it then latches on until detonation. While fans continue to find ways to attempt to counter this new explosives expert, Rainbow Six Siege continues to be a major bright spot for Ubisoft.

After the release of Operation Crimson Heist and all of the new content, Active player numbers have continued to rise and show growth. Over five years after the game first launched, Rainbow Six Siege continues to break concurrent player records, reaching over 200,000 players at one time on Steam this past weekend. While some of that may be due to the free to play weekend, it’s possible that Ubisoft’s insistence on continuing to offer new content bundles and cross overs with other franchises.

After teases and rumors hit the internet last month, the Resident Evil collaboration is finally confirmed through a brand new trailer. The latest Rainbow Six Siege trailer showcases a new elite set for the attacker operator Zofia, who gets an outfit that many Resident Evil fans may recognize. The S.T.A.R.S. Unit uniform gives Zofia the classic look of Jill Valentine from the original Resident Evil.

In addition to the outfit, the bundle includes weapon skins for the LMG-E, M762 and RG15 which seems to feature the S.T.A.R.S. logo engraved on the weapon, a gadget skin for her KS70 Lifeline, and an Elite Zofia Chibi charm that can be equipped to weapons. Rainbow Six Siege players will also gain access to a unique victory dance, which shows her using healing spray after looking injured and being surrounded by enemies. Interested players can pick up the bundle for 1800 R6 Credits in the in-game store.

This isn’t the first collaboration that Rainbow Six Siege has had over its lengthy lifespan. While the game has seen crossovers from other Ubisoft properties like Splinter Cell, The Division, and Ghost Recon, the franchise has recently been looking towards other properties as well, sometimes to a surprising degree. Arknights, a 2D tower defense game, added four Rainbow Six Siege operators to its popular mobile title, and an upcoming Rick and Morty collaboration has also been teased. Earlier this month, former Ghostwire Tokyo creative director Ikumi Nakamura designed special bundles for Hibana, Echo, Smoke, and more. In this new year, it seems Ubisoft wants to keep fans on their toes.

Rainbow Six Siege is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
