10 New Disney Worlds That Should Be In Kingdom Hearts 4

At first glance, Kingdom Hearts seems like the most unexpected crossover in history. However, both Final Fantasy and Disney fans alike have plenty to enjoy in each game. As they progress through the story, players traverse several familiar locations based on popular Disney films.

Despite the amount of Kingdom Hearts games released so far, some Disney worlds have yet to see representation. While some are newer to the Disney universe and have to wait for a later game anyway, others serve to fulfil the classic Disney nostalgia that some fans crave. Seeing Sora battle against Heartless in these new worlds would be a treat for players old and new.

10 Sherwood Forest (Robin Hood)

Paying homage to one of the classic Disney movies, Sherwood Forest would transport Sora and his friends into the world of Robin Hood. Whether they take on anthropomorphic forms or not, they would join forces with Robin Hood to take down the nefarious Prince John. Sora teamed up with roguish types in the past, such as Jack Sparrow in Port Royal and the Caribbean, so pairing up with the noble thief Robin Hood would work rather well. Naturally, many of the Heartless in this world would have medieval and nature themes.

9 The Axiom (WALL-E)

With Kingdom Hearts III, Square Enix finally brought in source material from Pixar films. Expanding on this opportunity, it only makes sense for them to pull in more films from this beloved animation studio. WALL-E is one such film, and having the Keyblade wielder run into the Axiom out in space makes perfect sense. The ship serves as the central setting for much of the movie, and it’s full of helpful robots that can assist Sora in his fight against the Heartless.

8 Enchanted Forest (Frozen II)

This new world would expand upon Arendelle to include the new setting from Frozen II. This time around, Sora can pair up with Anna or Elsa to investigate the mysteries of the Enchanted Forest.

The imbalance of the elements drives the conflict of the film’s story, a theme with which Sora and company are all too familiar. This could easily result in the presence of darkness; besides, fighting the earth giants would be tons of fun.

7 Litwak’s Arcade (Wreck-It Ralph)

Although Wreck-It Ralph made a cameo as a summon in Kingdom Hearts III, Sora never explored his world. A similar fate befell Mushu before a Mulan world appeared in the second game, so adding Ralph’s arcade in the next installment isn’t too farfetched. Most, if not all, of the story would happen between Ralph’s game Fix It Felix Jr. and Sugar Rush (the racing game where much of the movie’s plot takes place). Sora can reunite with Ralph and meet new characters like Felix and Vanellope von Schweetz.

6 Baker Street (The Great Mouse Detective)

Another Disney classic, The Great Mouse Detective, would make for a perfect Kingdom Hearts world. Basil of Baker Street has the marks of a great ally, and he is fairly capable in a fight despite his size. The antagonist of the film, Professor Ratigan, also serves well as a boss, as he is both cunning and powerful. Although the film takes place in London, just like part of the Neverland world from the first game, there are enough differences to where the developers could place it in its own world.

5 Kumandra (Raya And The Last Dragon)

Raya and the Last Dragon is a newcomer to the Disney universe, having been released in early March 2021. The setting, which is based on Southeast Asia, holds plenty of potential for a Kingdom Hearts world. Many of the Heartless that appear here can take their inspiration from the setting, as well.

The titular character and her dragon companion would make fantastic allies for Sora. Together, they can fight to unite the tribes of Raya’s homeland and purge it of the evil that divides them.

4 Empire Of The Sun (The Emperor’s New Groove)

While this movie is more of a cult classic, it remains a classic nonetheless. Sora, Donald, and Goofy would fit right in with the humorous antics surrounding Emperor Kuzco. Not only that, but a battle against Yzma and Kronk would be interesting, especially if animal transformations get involved. It might be difficult to imagine Heartless in a place like this, but the development team prove themselves more than capable with each game they make.

3 Tierra De La Muerte (Coco)

Coco is a rich and vibrant movie with plenty of charm and heartfelt themes. Sora and his pals could take on skeletal forms based on the stylings of Día de los Muertos. The Heartless, too, could undergo a similar transformation. Of course, they would also join Miguel on his journey to find a way back home. Miguel makes for a good bard-like ally, capable of healing and buffing Sora with the power of song. Between the plot, the setting, and the characters, this movie fits right in with the greater Kingdom Hearts universe.

2 Ant Island (A Bug’s Life)

This last Pixar inclusion pays homage to one of their first films, A Bug’s Life. Sora and company would take on insect forms, similar to how they turned into animals when exploring the Pride Lands. Then, they would help the ants and their circus bug friends in taking down Hopper and his gang. The Heartless would, naturally, arrive in response to the darkness surrounding Hopper. Despite this, a giant bird Heartless should definitely be the final boss for the area.

1 Motunui (Moana)

With its huge commercial success, it only makes sense that Moana be in the next installment of Kingdom Hearts. Both Moana and the demigod Maui make perfect allies, and the setting is full of beauty at every turn. Tamatoa the crab and Te Kā the lava demon have potential for great boss fights, too. Similar to The Caribbean in Kingdom Hearts III, Sora and his companions would sail to various islands to restore Te Fiti’s heart (and save the world’s in the process).
