The Call of Duty: Warzone meta environment is in constant flux as weapon buffs and nerfs are added in each update. As previously powerful weapons are nerfed, content creators are quick to start predicting the next meta within the game. Call of Duty: Warzone is currently in what many consider the “AUG Meta,” but one fan believes that a new weapon is on the rise.
Tons of new weapons were added when Call of Duty: Warzone integrated with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Among these weapons is a famous shotgun known as the “Gallo.” This shotgun is a fully automatic weapon, but its damage has been inconsistent, causing many fans to think twice before equipping it. In a recent video, content creator Aydan has a different opinion.
Current rumors suggest that shotguns may be returning to the meta, and Aydan agrees. In the past, Call of Duty: Warzone streamer Aydan has voiced a favoritism towards shotguns within the game. He has previously stated that he is a fan of the R9 and the Origin, but now his eyes are set on a new weapon. In his video, Aydan reminds fans of the power that many shotguns have within Call of Duty: Warzone. While many pros believe that the AUG is the main problem, Aydan offers a video of a 37-kill game using the Gallo. At some point, he even teases the idea that the Gallo could become a permanent weapon in his personal arsenal since the FFAR got nerfed.
The clip is filled with scenes where Aydan uses his Call of Duty: Warzone shotgun loadout to ruin opponents. The Gallo sports enough power to destroy an enemy in one or two hits depending on the distance. With the FFAR and MAC-10 nerfed, this opens a window for close-combat situations with a rather potent shotgun.
While the Gallo does have a rather potent strength, there are still many considerations to be had in range combat. Call of Duty: Warzone is a game of mixed tactics, and where one weapon excels at short range, others excel at longer ranges. This results in a situation where players may not get close enough to use the shotgun despite its powerful bursts.
It is unclear if the Gallo shotgun from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will rise in rank within the Warzone community. While Aydan seems positive, many other content creators are skeptical of this particular weapon. Despite this, one thing they all agree on is that the rise of shotguns may once again spread across Verdansk.
