Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 Is Available to Download Now | Game Rant

Following today’s lengthy patch list, Cyberpunk 2077’s newest update has officially gone live, bringing version 1.2 to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One players. The announcement was made via the game’s official Twitter account, confirming that Google Stadia will also be getting the long-awaited patch later this week.

For those who haven’t been following CD Projekt Red’s updates on its latest bundle of fixes for Cyberpunk 2077, 1.2 will bring an array of long-requested overhauls to the experience, including lengthening police response times and fixing plenty of buggy quests. The patch has been in development for a while now, with CD Projekt having to delay it last month following a devastating cyberattack leveled at the studio.

As for some of the more significant fixes it brings, the NCPD spawn radius has been increased, meaning the appearance of law enforcement won’t feel as random as it did in previous versions of the game. There’s also a new “steering sensitivity” slider in the options menu. It will aim to improve driving mechanics, hopefully offering some more options to players that found operating cars to be floaty and weightless. Other interesting additions are buffing the Gorilla Arms to do 20% more damage, changing clothing vendors’ items to be more location appropriate, and reducing the price of Tabula e-Rasa.

For most players, it’s the game-breaking bugs they’re most interested in seeing fixed, and the quest section definitely seems to offer some much-needed changes. Issues from every lifepath, main quest, side mission, and more have been adjusted, whether that’s making it so players can attack Maelstrom before entering All Foods without The Pickup quest being blocked or fixing an issue where Mr. Hands wouldn’t call V after Double Life. It’s definitely a major step forward for Cyberpunk 2077 and will hopefully facilitate a more accessible experience going forward.

This won’t be the final update for Cyberpunk 2077 this year, as fans are still slated to see more from the game in the months to come. While CD Projekt Red will be releasing further updates, there will also be both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X upgrades coming to the RPG, which will be available free of charge for those who already own the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. Meanwhile, DLC is slated for the title, although it remains to be seen when it will be on the cards. Following the game’s disappointing launch last December, CD Projekt Red has been desperately trying to rework Cyberpunk and make up for its mistakes, and it seems the studio’s plans throughout 2021 will be entirely focused on achieving that goal.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions coming later this year.
