Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 Patch Notes Turned into Star Wars Opening Crawl

CD Projekt Red released the 1.2 update for Cyberpunk 2077 in order to fix many of the issues and bugs that have plagued the title since release. It seems the previous 1.1 update did not apply to nearly enough of the problems, as the patch notes for the 1.2 update are long. The 1.2 update addresses hundreds of issues in gameplay, quests, environments, UI, and performance, but the list of changes may be overwhelming to some.

In order to read the 1.2 patch notes, Cyberpunk 2077 fans would have to scroll through hundreds of lines of text such as, “Improved jacking in interactions with forklifts,” and, “Cat food needed to adopt Nibbles can now be bought at several food shops around Night City.” Luckily, one Reddit user has found an entertaining way to display the patch notes.

Reddit user “Axerol” compiled every line of the Cyberpunk 2077 1.2 patch notes into a single video using the famous Star Wars text crawl, and the results are hilarious. The video lasts for five minutes, but is thankfully accompanied by the Star Wars theme song. It may be painful trying to read through the entirety of the patch notes, but the patch will hopefully relieve some of the issues players endured when navigating the game’s many bugs and glitches at release.

Many of the user complaints about Cyberpunk 2077 revolve around NPC behavior, police interactions, and driving. The 1.2 update does address many of these issues, although fans may have some trouble finding what patch note lines specify the changes. The patch notes are broken up into sections that include gameplay, quests, cinematic design, PC and console specific changes, and more. Despite being broken up into sections, the patch notes are still a lot to navigate.

In the console-specific section, many of the notes include changes exclusively for the PlayStation 4 version of Cyberpunk 2077. Coincidentally, this version of Cyberpunk 2077 hit the 100-day mark being removed from the PlayStation Store the same day the 1.2 update was released. CD Projekt Red has yet to comment on when the title will be returning to the PlayStation Store, but the patch notes amending many PlayStation-specific problems should be good news in terms of support for the console versions.

The 1.2 update may dissolve the fear of CD Projekt Red ceasing support for Cyberpunk 2077. A recent leak also found that the server capacity for the title has been increased, and the add-on section for the game has been changed on the Epic Games Store. The leak also suggests that three paid DLCs will be released for Cyberpunk 2077, so the 1.2 update may be also preparing for these large DLC expansions as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
