Observer: System Redux Update Adds Ray Tracing Support

Bloober Team has added a big update to Observer: System Redux, the definitive edition of 2017’s excellently received Observer, the psychological horror game based in a cyberpunk world. The new update to the game brings performance enhancements, optimization, and even ray tracing.

Bloober Team continues to support Observer, as both The Medium and Observer: System Redux will be receiving physical releases in the near future. Especially with that in mind, it makes sense for the game to receive an update and for it to be as fully optimized as possible for next-generation consoles.

The new Patch 1.3 for consoles brings a bevy of improvements to Observer: System Redux. In the update, general improvements have been made to the game based on player feedback, dynamic resolution is now an option that is available, light and level streaming have been optimized, and more. Perhaps chief among the enhancements, ray tracing has been enabled for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.

Bloober Team continues to evolve as a developer. It has high ambitions, as the team has stated that it wants to be the Blumhouse of the games industry. With successes like The Medium, Layers of Fear, and Observer: System Redux, Bloober Team seems to be more than on track. The developer’s agreement with Xbox also helps, as its games are often found on Xbox Game Pass, which means players are able to enjoy them easily. Observer: System Redux‘s upgrades are just a nice example of Bloober Team working hard towards being one of the top horror developers in the industry.

Observer: System Redux is available now for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S.
