Valheim patch tweaks Hammer, Hoe and Cultivator timings

A mini update for the Early Access survival title has been rolled out.

Developer Iron Gate has reduced the amount of time it takes to use tools again as part of a new Valheim update.

In a post on Steam, the studio said it had tweaked the timings for tools like the Hammer, Hoe and Cultivator, meaning that players will be able to build, repair things slightly faster with the Hammer, as well as farm more efficiently with the Cultivator. The tweaks to the Hoe mean users will able to change ground in Valheim quicker, too.

This is part of a “mini-patch” that also sees Iron Gate introducing some localization updates, as well as fixing some sound issues in Valheim.

The firm has also added a new footstep sound effect for when players are sneaking in snow and added missing names into the game’s credits.

Valheim launched at the start of February and to date has sold more than 6 million copies and has reached a record of 500,000 concurrent players. Iron Gate is also working on a larger update for the title called Hearth and Home, having previously tweaked some high priority bugs, including networking errors.

Issues in Valheim haven’t stopped people being incredibly creative in the game, including one player who managed to build things underwater.
