One Piece: Each Straw Hat’s Best Attack | Game Rant

As One Piece‘s protagonists, the Straw Hat Pirates have become one of the most notable crews while wreaking havoc in the New World. Boasting a roster of Devil Fruit users, swordsmen, proficient weapon-users, and hand-to-hand combat experts, the crew’s power-level is astronomical, earning them their well-deserved reputation.

While remarkable as an overall crew, each Straw Hat has demonstrated expertise as a solo combatant. Though the power levels differ amongst them, each crew member is undoubtedly a capable battler, wielding their own unique abilities and weapons. Looking at the Straw Hats as individual fighters, here are each crew member’s best attacks/techniques.

10 Monkey D. Luffy: Gear Fourth: Gomo Gomo no King Kong Gun

Luffy is one One Piece‘s most powerful pirates, having bested even the greatest enemies (Logia-users included). His current best attack occurs in Gear Fourth, which sees Luffy’s body coated in Busoshoku Haki and expanded to exaggerated proportions. Although Luffy’s Devil Fruit has been countered in the past, his current mastery over it has only increased his prominence.

Gomo Gomo no King Kong Gun is used in Luffy’s Boundman form, with Luffy inflating his Haki-coated arm to a devastating size and unleashing a punch so powerful it simultaneously defeated Doflamingo and leveled an entire town. This attack has grown deadlier in Wano, as Luffy can now execute the same force without expanding his arm or even making contact with his opponent by using advanced Busoshoku Haki.

9 Roronoa Zoro: Santoryu Ogi: Ichidai Sanzen Daisen Sekai

With a dream to become the world’s strongest swordsman, Zoro has proven himself to be a formidable combatant with his three-sword technique, Santoryu. Following the timeskip, Zoro improved many of his previous techniques, adding his newly acquired Busoshoku Haki to his swords to make their slashes more fatal.

Of Zoro’s many techniques, Ichidai Sanzen Daisen Sekai has exemplified Zoro’s peak vigor. Dealing numerous slashes, Zoro can easily cut through solid objects, as shown when he effortlessly slashed through Pika’s giant stone body. The fight against Pika as a whole exemplifies Zoro’s strength, seeing as Pika’s size and power proved little issue for the swordsman.

8 Nami: Dark Cloud Tempo: Thunder Lance Tempo

Though considered a weaker Straw Hat, Nami’s expertise in weather manipulation has displayed her effectiveness in ranged combat, able to take out several opponents at once. Her upgraded Sorcery Clima-Tact and knowledge acquired from Weatheria have increased her arsenal to the point where she’s overwhelmed monstrous opponents.

Thunder Lance Tempo is an attack that has only gotten stronger thanks to Nami’s efforts. Using a condensed dark cloud, Nami sends lightning through a line of people, and anyone caught in the bolt’s line is pierced and dealt tremendous electrical damage. The greatest aspect of this technique is how it dominates multiple enemies at once, as Nami can send the bolt through numerous foes.

7 Usopp: Midori Boshi: Impact Wolf

Despite his cowering tendencies, Usopp’s marksmanship attest to his combat potential. As opposed to close-range combat, Usopp is a master sniper, utilizing his Kuro Kabuto and Pop Greens to deal incredible distance-based damage. The hostile plants loaded in his seeds have exhibited numerous techniques, but his strongest is Impact Wolf.

With this technique, Usopp fires a Pop Green that transforms into a wolf-shaped hedge. Besides inducing impact damage, it can also stun by releasing a shockwave that is three meters in diameter. While most of Usopp’s techniques rely on incapacitating opponents with either status effects or restraints, Impact Wolf combines both while adding physical damage.

6 Sanji: Diable Jambe: Concassé

One of the Monster Trio members (alongside Luffy and Zoro) Sanji is one of the strongest Straw Hats. Having heared the epithet “Black Leg”, the chef is known for his substantial kicks and mastery over Diable Jambe, a technique which sees his legs ignite with flames, adding heat damage to his kicks.

Using Diable Jambe, Sanji’s Concassé attack grows tougher, also incorporating his Sky Walk technique to increase altitude. With built momentum, Sanji gains speed by spinning and lands a devastating hit with his heel, typically to his opponent’s head. This move was able to knock out Luffy, who is not typically one to be overcome.

5 Tony Tony Chopper: Monster Point: Palme

Chopper is a Straw Hat that many don’t consider a strong fighter, further proven in his embarrassingly low bounty. Despite this, Chopper’s effective Hito Hito no Mi and Rumble Ball usage should cause fans (and the overwhelmingly powerful Marines) to reconsider the doctor’s power.

While Chopper previously struggled to maintain control in his Monster form, post-timeskip Chopper has exemplified authority over Monster Point — though it does use much of his energy. This form grants him a remarkable physical boost, with Chopper apparently leveling an entire Drum Island village. Now with better control, his Palme attack has demolished enemies, even drawing blood from a dangerous Beast Pirates’ member.

4 Nico Robin: Mil Fleur: Gigantesco Mano (Spank)

Perhaps one of the most underrated fighters, Robin has impressive combat comprehension. Using her Hana Hana no Mi, she is able to read battles and use techniques for appropriate situations. Her intelligence as a fighter attests to her assassin reputation, and her newfound abilities (which include creating entire copies of herself) have saved the Straw Hats on numerous occasions.

Her most frequent and dynamic technique is achieved by sprouting a thousand arms and creating giant arms (or one giant arm). With this, Robin exacts great physical power, and is able to confront single foes or multiple foes — the giant hands can also collect opponents and crush them if need be. Beyond this ability’s combat usage, it has also been strategically used to protect the Thousand Sunny.

3 Franky: General Franky: General Cannon

As an exceptional engineer, Franky has maximized his body’s potential with artificial parts, while also using inventions in battle. His most notorious collection is his Battle Frankies, which began as merely ships but have since transformed into enhanced cyborg bodies.

General Franky, his most recent addition, is his best. Of this form’s arsenal, General Cannon produces the greatest result, being reminiscent of the Thousand Sunny’s Gaon Cannon. Franky fills the robotic body’s arms with air, firing a giant blast towards his target. With it, Franky was able to pierce Punk Hazard’s ice mountains while also damaging Baby 5 and Buffalo.

2 Brook: Hanauta Sancho: Tyamasi no Yahazu Giri

Being the Straw Hat’s second swordsman, Brook combines fencing with his unique Devil Fruit, the Yomi Yomi no Mi. His weapon, Soul Solid, poses as a cane and is strengthened by Brook enveloping it with his soul. His stabs and slices can freeze targets due to his soul’s coldness from the underworld.

Using a draw-and-sheathing technique, Brook’s Tyamasi no Yahazu Giri technique slashes at opponents at numerous distances. The technique relies on the combination of Brook’s swordsmanship and soul, as the impact of his slashes intensify and are capable of freezing his opponent’s blood. Brook managed to slice through Zeus, one of Big Mom’s homies, with this attack, who couldn’t be damaged by Haki users.

1 Jinbe: Gyojin Karate Ogi: Buraikan

Jinbe is a renowned Fish-Man Karate user, being hailed as a master of the technique. He was considered a child prodigy, earning a black belt at a young age. On top of his Fish-Man Karate expertise, Jinbe is proficient in Busoshoku Haki, typically seen coating his arms in Haki to be used both offensively and defensively.

His strongest technique, Buraikan, has been lauded as being strong enough to knock back Big Mom, someone who doesn’t waver from attacks. With this technique, Jinbe hurls a massive amount of water with his hands, piercing through his opponent’s body and knocking them back. It is credited as a secret Fish-Man Karate technique, but given Jinbe’s aptitude, it’s no surprise he is capable of performing it.
