中國駐緬甸大使館表示，過去兩日分別同緬甸相關方面進行溝通，協調緬甸加強中緬邊境新冠疫情防控。

中方表示，近日中國雲南瑞麗再次出現新型肺炎確診病例，其中包括多名緬甸籍人士。一段時間以來，中方在中緬邊境地區採取多方面疫情防控措施，付出很大努力，取得積極成效。今次瑞麗發生疫情，反映出中緬邊境一線外防輸入、內防擴散仍面臨較大壓力，希望緬甸與中方一起，切實發揮中緬邊境疫情聯防聯控機制作用，共同管好邊境，防住疫情。
