The Dallas Cowboys travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks and try and put an end to their undefeated start. The Cowboys haven’t had it easy in the first two games and managed to pull off a wild and intense win at the very last moment last week against the Falcons 40-39. It won’t be easy for the guys from Dallas as Russell Wilson has looked tremendous in his first two games. In fact, the commentary coming from NFL analysts and commentators is that Russell is performing as well as he ever has and is probably the best player in the league currently.

Seattle merely needs to continue what it has been doing the first few games to ensure they don’t add a loss to their record. So far, the offense is steamrolling the competition and the defense is doing enough to keep the score in their favor.

Both the 49ers and Jets dropped their NFL 2020 season openers and so each is looking to redeem its current standings with a win on September 20. While there isn’t just one thing each team needs to improve from week one to week two, the performances of Sam Darnold and Jimmy Garoppolo could stand to be taken up a notch.

Garoppolo looked a bit sloppy against the Cardinals despite his 250+ yards, two touchdown pases, and no interceptions. If the 49ers’ offense can tighten things up, the team should be able to take it to the next level and give the Jets a serious threat. Of course, there’s also the consideration of George Kittle’s health at the moment. For New York, they need a healthy and productive performance from Le’Veon Bell or whoever ends up handling the running back duties.

San Fransisco can have problems blocking the run and the Jets need to exploit that vulnerability where possible. Will the Jets benefit from playing at home if no fans are in the stands? It’s hard to tell, alt…

With a score of 17 to 20 most fans think the referees were responsible for stopping Dallas from scoring again rather than the Rams defense.

College football is officially back with Clemson taking on Wake Forest. For Clemson, this is the first time in four years the team will open their season on the road. Away from home, the team will try to win its season opener as has been the tradition over the last decade. Although Clemson is definitely the favorite in this match up, Wake Forest does have Carlos Basham, a national-best defensive end, to at least put some pressure on the Tigers. Ja’Cquez Williams is another weapon the Demon Deacons have in their arsonal. None of these players are guaranteed though as the 2020 season may limit which players are available on a week-to-week basis. With different health and safety concerns fluctuating regularly, the lineup of athletes may change at the last minute. This aspect will keep things interesting for viewers at home.

In Notre Dame’s first college football game of the year, the Fighting Irish will be taking on the Duke Blue Devils. Last year, Notre Dame took out Duke without too much resistance. Duke may have lost the previous matchup 38-7, but this is a new season and another chance to turn things around. For Duke, the roster also looks different than it did last year. Chase Brice in the quarterback slot and Deon Jackson as running back should be a serious combination and get Duke more points on the board against Notre Dame.

On Notre Dame’s side, Ian Book under new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will try to cut down on mistakes and run up the score even more. Despite the disproportionate score of last year’s matchup, this year’s game should be competitive. Overall Notre Dame’s rushing game and effective defense should be enough to win again. Even if Duke can’t come away with the win, it should be able to put up a respectable fight and keep things interesting from start to finish.

The sixth conference semifinals game for the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors tips off on tonight. As a quick refresher, most of the schedule for the playoff games were altered as players halted play to protest injustice sparked by the shooting of Jacob Blake. As games resumed on Saturday, it shifted most around to new dates and times. For the Celtics and Raptors, this coming game marks the second in a best of seven match up.

The series is tied up and tonight’s winner moves on to the finals!

The Miami Heat take on the Milwaukee Bucks in game two of the conference semifinals on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. The new times and dates for NBA playoff games come in light of the protests conducted by players bringing awareness to the injustice that became very personal for the players in Wisconsin. It even spurred the Milwaukee Brewers to not play in protest and unity with the NBA.

The Bucks are the top seeded team and if the Heat want to move on it will need to be in the form of a less than likely upset. That means most of the pressure is on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks to keep performing at a high level.

Despite being the underdogs in this conference semifinals match up, the Heat did best the Bucks in their two of three meetings during the regular season this year. To compete, the Heat will need to rely on Bam Adebayo and his guarding skills to keep Giannis as much in check as can be expected. Raised By Wolves is a new mini series from Ridley Scott that focuses on two androids raising a human kid on a new planet. The new show debuts on September 3, on the streaming service — and everywhere HBO Max is available. After earth becomes inhabitable, a ship full of humans comes to the new planet, kepler-22b, and things begin to get interesting. It’s been described internally as sort of a Little House on The Prairie, but on another planet. This is exactly the type of mini series you would expect Scott, who was responsible for Blade Runner and Alien, to be a part of for HBO Max.

HBO has traveled down a similar road before with Westworld which also utilized androids in blurring the lines between human and machines. In the new series, however, critics have called out a much more drab and dire mood that stemming from the desolate visuals shown on screen.
